I mounted the winch on a removable swivel pedestal on the front of my trailer. I used it to load and unload heavy metal working/welding equipment that I had mounted on rolling stands. Worked great! The brake on the winch worked awesome! Very happy with my purchase and etrailer.
Great Winch! Easily Recommend. Used this on a job site for about a year now and it works just as it did when installed. It's base allows for an out of the box swap with our harbor freight truck bed crane's winch, whose teeth wore in under a year of occasional use. Not the case here though!
Fast service.
We replaced a factory hand winch with this model. there is no comparison between the two winches. We used to cringe and worry about losing a load while lifting, with this winch, there is no concern at all. This unit is mounted on one of our dump trucks, which saves our backs trying to lift objects up 48" into the bed.
Good product, I’m using it on a sailboat for a keel winch. Not sure how the free wheel lever works, but I don’t plan to use that feature. It uses a three bolt mount and I wish there was a centered mounting hole on both ends.
Easy to install; lack of real instructions made it difficult to use at first. Etrailer called and helped out

Excellent addition to my trailer. The winch has allowed me to load and unload heavy items on casterswithout assistance. Still works as good as the day I bought it.
