The WingBar Evo setup keeps things streamlined with a low-profile design that hugs your roofline. When you’re carrying a cargo box or water gear, that matters—every inch counts for garage clearance and wind resistance. At 50" long, 3-1/8" wide, and 1" tall, these aluminum crossbars keep your load stable without adding unnecessary height or bulk.
Nothing kills highway peace like a loud roof rack. The aerodynamic shape of the WingBar Evo crossbars and the split rubber strips in the top channels help reduce wind noise and vibration while you drive. The strips seal around mounts once your accessories are installed, keeping airflow smooth and your ride quieter mile after mile.
There’s no need to limit your setup. These bars work with both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories, so you can swap between bike racks, kayak cradles, ski carriers, or cargo boxes without hassle. The top channels make it easy to slide your gear into place—no trimming required—and lock everything down securely for every trip.
Built from durable aluminum, this rack system handles up to 165 lbs while maintaining a lightweight structure. Whether you’re hauling heavy camping gear or multiple watercrafts, it’s engineered to stay solid under load. The included Evo Flush Rail feet and custom fit kit ensure a tight, stable mount every time.
For extra peace of mind, the setup accepts Thule One-Key System locks (sold separately). You can secure both the rack and any channel-mounted gear with a single key—handy when leaving your vehicle parked at trailheads or campgrounds overnight.

Hey, neighbors, how's it going This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at the Thule WingBar Evo roof rack for our 2024 Hyundai Palisade. Now, when you add a roof rack to your vehicle, what that does for you, it allows you to increase your cargo area by taking advantage of the negative space on top of your vehicle. So let's take a quick look at some of the features and how it works on our vehicle. As far as our bars, these are going to go 50 inches across and it's gonna give you the adjustability to kind of have hangover if you need it, if you had, like, a awning or something like that, or a road shower. You also can attach those T channel track items using the track that's included. A cool feature on this, it comes with rubber insulation that's gonna basically cut the wind, and the design of it itself is similar to a airplane's wing.
All these things are to help cut down on that wind noise that you're gonna experience. If you look at your towers here, these guys right here are gonna give you a nice low-profile, at the same time, giving you a secure connection between the rooftop and your bar. Out the box, you're gonna have these plastic knockout locks. But if you wanted to go for extra security, you can add on the Thule lock cores and have your Thule accessories, like your rooftop boxes or bike carriers, all keyed alike. The pad right on top of our flush-mounted rails, this guy is rubberized and it's gonna allow you to have that seal with the top of the roof.
If you make sure that you don't have any gaps, this is another way to reduce wind noise when you're going down the road. But as you see, that's a super tight fit, almost custom. As far as the setup on this. Only thing that you're really gonna need is a tape measure. You're gonna have an included tool from Thule.
Now, as far as what this does for you, it helps get that issue of, how can I increase my cargo area out the way so you can really get down to making memories. And speaking of memories, it'd be cool if you sent the photo in and added it below, showing us how you're gonna use your crossbars. Now, as far as the installation, grab your tape measure and we'll get this guy installed. I went ahead and installed my rear crossbar just to get a feel for the installation, and it's pretty straightforward. You're gonna start with removing your end cap, so you can easily add on your tower.
You wanna make sure that you have the bolt end pointing away from the inside. That way, you can make your adjustments and add on your hardware. Also, if you have your measurement, you can use the included strip here to set it to the measurement for your cross spread. And from here, you're gonna have to pay attention to your parts. You have the A bracket where the two hooks are gonna go into your tower with the bolt coming through. From here, you're gonna put on your rubber pad on the bottom, and you're gonna have little notches that are gonna align with the holes at the bottom of the foot. And this is just gonna give you that overall grip. And then you're gonna add part C to the top of the clamp A. Now you just have your hole sticking through and you're gonna use your bolt here and just start the threading from here. So now you have your assembly put together and this is gonna clamp around your flush rails. So now we're gonna head to the top of the vehicle and place it on top. Now, I already went ahead and figured out where I wanted my spread, so I'm just gonna rest it across on my other rail here. And we're gonna drop this guy into place. And you're gonna notice that your hardware right here is just gonna wrap around the raised rail and grip along the side. Now we're gonna use our included torque wrench to get this guy fastened down. Now, before you actually go 100% down, where you getting your clicks, you wanna make sure that you have your crossbar even on the roof and you want to go from side to side as you tighten, just to make sure that you're not gonna have any pull from one side or the other. And now I don't have to worry about overtightening 'cause my tool tells me right where to stop. And then we're gonna put our cap on our tower here. Once we have all that secured, we're good to go and ready for our adventure. These guys are aluminum, so they're lightweight and they're gonna be rustproof out in the real world and at the same time, super easy to install. I've used these guys a couple times on my personal vehicle and I found them to be pretty quiet, so you really can't go wrong going with the WingBar from Thule. So again, this is Ed with etrailer.com taking a look at the Thule WingBar on our 2024 Hyundai Palisade. Have a great day.
Ratings & Reviews
The packaging of the product was damaged when delivered, but eTrailer quickly replaced the two missing parts no questions asked. Great customer service and I appreciate working with the knowledgeable experts at etrailer to make sure everything I order works together.
The online tutorial was excellent and I was able to install the roof rack myself. The only disappointment is my board loader doesn’t work with the flush mount system.
Love Thule products!
Alex and etrailer are great to work with. My original order was misplaced by the shipping company. I needed the cross bars for a trip and Alex overnighted an extra pair so that I had what I needed. Alex came through when I needed his help. Great customer service.
The rubber guides in the Evo bars came out within months of beginning to use it. Once the seal popped out the bars whistle annoyingly.
Thule products are not the cheapest but they are just so well engineered it brings a smile to your face every time you assemble them. I have 7 year old aero blade bars and bought these foot packs (and fit kit) for a new car. Taking off the old feet off the bars was flawless - every part, whether plastic, rubber or metal is still perfect after 7 years of use and shed storage.
Etrailer were fabulous as usual - initial phone consultation to confirm feet will fit old bars and then quick online ordering etc.
etrailer was the only place that was able to provide a solution for me! I have a 2022 GLC Benz with panoramic roof. I spent many $$ for Benz’s own cross bars. They looked great…integrated with the roof seamlessly. But I couldn’t open the panoramic roof! MAJOR FAIL!!
etrailer customized a set of Thule cross bars that not only work with my panoramic roof but are quieter and look even better than the Benz product. MAJOR AWESOME to etrailer. Now listing my Benz cross bars on Craigs.
I purchase these along w the Thule Evo Fixpoint feet & Thule mounting points. Took less than an hour to put together & it was pretty simple. I don’t notice any whistling noises at all so that’s great. Looks super awesome! If you’re thinking of getting a roof rack definitely go with the Thule, looks low profile and sleek.
Thule makes great products
And etrailer makes it too easy to get when needed.
etrailer.com was excellent to do business with. Their website is informative, complete and easy to navigate. Phone service to help confirm availability of my product and their general knowledge of their products was impressive. Product arrived on time and in good shape. Their order tracking system is also very good. I’m very pleased with the Thule Wingbar Evo 135 racks For my BMW X5 with flush roof rails. They are super sturdy, solidly mounted and look good on the vehicle. Mine will be mainly used for surfboards and SUP’s. The assembly and installation was a breeze. The included written instructions would have been sufficient for a seamless installation but I also watched one of many YouTube videos that demonstrated very clearly every step of assembly and installation for this specific set of racks.
Love the racks!! I highly recommend etrailer.com for your roof rack needs.
I ordered the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 50" with the Evo Flush Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars - Flush Side Rails and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Flush Rail and Edge Flush Rail Roof Rack Feet for my 2020 Mazda CX9. I appreciated the product selector to make sure I was getting all the correct parts. I was happy with the products, but I did run into an issue where 1 of the rail feet had a defective bolt which required a replacement. I was very satisfied with etrailer's customer support, and how well they worked with me to get the part replaced quickly. I'm giving this a 4 start only because of the hassle of receiving a defective one initially
Easy to assemble and install. Love the way etrailer packages everything you need and they all are correct for the vehicle you are mounting them on. Once installed they appear very strong. Installed on a 2023 Chevy Tahoe and did not interfere with the sunroof.
Very pleased with order. Shipped fast, not damaged, all parts accounted for. Easy install, very sturdy, and attractive design. Slight wind noise but that was expected compared to not having a roof rack.
I’ve had it on my 2021 Kia Telluride now for a few months and it works great. When I was mounting the forward bar, I opened the sun roof to make sure I was comfortable with the roof window and bar clearance.
Rock Solid and good looking. Expensive but worth it!
QUALITY Crossbars! Aerodynamic, tested at 70mph on the highway with little to no noise disturbance! SOLID bars if installed correctly. Although there were instructions provided, they were a bit vague. Hop on YouTube, and you will find plenty to reference from! Most of it is self explanatory, but it’s always good having tips and tricks helping you through your particular install! A++
Work great. The rubber pieces will start to pop up at times. I will hear the bars whistling so I just reset them and good to go. Overall the bars are quiet. We use a Thule cargo box on top and it works great for traveling.
Thule Rack looks awesome on my Kia Telluride. Products took a while to get to me because they were on backorder but it's not etrailer, they were on backorder everywhere. I messed up one of the pieces of rubber while installing and etrailer sent me a new one at no charge. Definitely recommend etrailer.
This is my first Thule product but not my last. etrailer was great to deal with the videos on how to install the product were so helpful. Between etrailer's help and all the reviews that other people had purchased and posted made this a very pleasant purchase and install. I highly recommend etrailer and the complete Thule WingBar system including the keylocks that worked perfectly.
One of the rubber strips came off somehow. I just used these bars for the second time.
Website is easy to use & is better at putting together the correct package than Thule’s site.
etrailer had all the parts in stock for my 2020 Kia Telluride.
Payment process was simple.
Received periodic updates from staffer on my order & could actually reply if needed.
Installing the roof rack went well. Estimate start to finish was about 2 hours. Found it best to really examine each diagram in Thule’s step by step instructions to get it all right on the first try.
Hardness part of the installation was getting the crossbars installed at the proper distances. A tailor’s soft measuring tape & some masking were great aids.
Thule has great quality and trailer is a great place to order from, highly recommend both!
It took me a VERY long time to figure out what I needed to mount my Hullivator on my 22 Subaru Outback Limited. I bought the wrong parts on round 1, and finally after 2 yrs of frustration, asked AI what I needed. I don't entirely trust AI, but it got me on the right track. I asked the 'chat' person on etrailer about the AI suggestion, and the gal who helped me, Autumn, said the feet part was correct, but to use these feet and the TH37CE fit kit. I ordered immediately. Today was the day. Of note, the fit kit has specific parts for the front and rear passenger and front and rear driver side. Pay attention to the photo directions. The parts are different for each side. On my Outback, they mount at 69cm apart on the Subaru rails (folded in) on the Thule Wingbar Evo 55" bars. The cladding and design of the Outback roof system leaves much to be desired, but this worked and I'm looking forward to FINALLY using my Hullivator.
Perfect fit. Easy to install. Excellent customer service and prompt shipping. These guys are great!! THANKS JEREMY!!
