Can I Use T-Bolts To Attach My Older Thule Flat Top Ski Rack To the Thule WingBar Evo?

Question:

I have the old Thule 725 Flat Top ski rack and the Thule Wingbars. Does the mounting kit 7533998 have to be used or can the square head bolts be used to mount the ski rack directly to the Wingbars using the t-track?

From the looks of it, it does not look like your older Thule 725 Flat Top can be used with the top tracks. This carrier uses the universal mounting system and does not have an option to use the t-slots.

I checked around with Thule as well, and it looks like all of their carriers use some type of universal mounting system with the exception of the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH7324 which does use the universal mounting system but also has a kit that allows you to mount the carrier directly to the t-tracks.

Hey Bryce - I have a Thule 725 with the universal mounting kit attached. However, I'd prefer to use the t-track instead. Can you tell me what adapter/mounting kit I Need to install in order to make that work?

@Amish Hey Amish, I think I know what you're asking for. So it looks like the Thule 725 FlatTop you have does not have an option to be mounted directly to the T-Tracks so you'd need to use a different ski rack instead like the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH7324 which includes T-track risers that will install directly into the crossbars. Typically this is only used if you had taller boards that needed extra clearance, but it shouldn't be a problem with standard boards.
