Jameson, Thanks for the info. Is there a similar model that doesnt have the “fitted” end connections that would be more flexible if i changed to a wider vehicle (like a Mercedes GLE for instance)? I just want to have a flexible system that can adapt to vehicles of different sizes.

Yakima discontinued the Whispbar brand back in 2016 and the bars don't fit the current JetStream style roof racks unfortunately. You'd need an all new roof rack with part numbers # TH711220, # TH710601, and # TH186020.
