Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the replacement gear box with the straight arm and the B linkage for Kwikee Electric RV Steps. Now, this part here will replace the gear box and the B linkage on your Kwikee Electric RV Steps. This is designed to fit the step series 28, series 31, series 37, and the series 39 steps. The gear box and the linkage work with a motor to power your steps. Now, the motor is not included, we do sell that separately on our website.
It is a fully enclosed gear box, protects the components from the elements, requires no maintenance. The B linkage, you can see the B right here to let you know that it has B linkage, with this straight arm is what'll rotate, push the steps out, and then pull them back in. This is a durable steel construction, it is zinc plated for strength and corrosion resistance. Does use a brass ball bearing to ensure long-term durability. This part is made in the USA, and the last thing I'm wanna do is just give you dimensions on this.
So if we measure the length, one end of the mounting plate to the other, it's about 8 1/4 inches, the width of it is 4 1/4 inches, and the overall height to the very top right up here, it's gonna be right at 3 1/4 inches tall. But again, just to show you how it rotates, you can see the gear in there. But that should do it for the review on the replacement gear box with the straight arm and the B linkage for the Kwikee Electric RV Steps..
Word of advice... NEVER SEND VIA USPS if at all possible. Took 8 days. 25-30 movements throughout postal channel.Sat in this post office 2 days before any movement. ATROCIOUS!!! Also you should send the 3 screws for the purchasers motor that fit the Lippert gear box female thread. My screws were a size or two under the thread needed to attach the motor. CHARGE $5 more and send three screws. I had to make a 7 mile trip to ACE HARDWARE.

3 bolt installation, everything works nice and quiet now. Smooth as silk operation.
The part was delivered on time and worked perfectly. I had to use the arm of my old gearbox, but that was my fault.
I was able to use the new part with my old motor by swapping the old gear with the new supplied one.
Etrailer is my go to for most parts.

We received the new upgraded gearbox for our step motor as promised. It was not in stock so was ordered from Lippert.
