My actuator has been leaking since I purchased it used. I spoke w/Etrailer staff and I requested a contact number for Dexter. I left a message for a call back and a little later in the day I received a call back from Randy from Dexter
and we discussed my issues with the leaking actuator. I was happy with the performance but I was unsure about changing to a different model. He assured me to stick with my same model #.
I then called Etrailer and ordered my new unit which arrived in 2 days to my door step by UPS. I installed the unit and cleaned up some of the prior wiring with no issues. I bleed the breaks as advised by Randy from Dexter I went thru a lot of Dot3 fluid but I flushed out all of the old fluid and then bleed till no bubbles were visible by using the break away switch.
My experience with Dexter and Etrailer was great and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again!

Great customer service
Bolted right on. It was half day job installing this unit with my entire brake job ripping the old drums off and installing Discs, this unit is fantastic and works flawlessly. Sometimes I show off the effectiveness of the EOH system with the disc brakes to my friends. I have a 7,700lb boat and I'll only use my brake controller instead of my brake pedal going down steep hills. the trailer brakes quickly and effectively slow the GMC Yukon and boat by themselves with no vehicle brakes.
I've attached photos of a few phases of the install as well as the entire vehicle to see what I'm talking about.
This unit is very responsive and very effective, the greatest advantage if EOH systems is braking going backwards. It is awesome for launching the boat.

The products were ordered on Sunday night late, delivered by Wednesday. Converting drum surge brakes to disc, electric over hydraulic on a boat trailer for 26ft Sea Ray boat. I had everything including Titan brake actuator, 4 kodiac rotor and caliper conversion kits with bearings, and new lines installed by Thursday evening. Installation was straight forward, everything fit perfectly. One of the calipers was malfunctioning (not releasing). I called customer service and I had a new one within two days, it's now installed and working great!! Great product! Awesome service!!
Stops better than any other trailer brakes I have ever experienced.
Works very well as expected. Simple, straightforward installation that perfectly complimented my disc brake conversion. No more surge breaks is a huge improvement!
I put disc brakes on my 38 foot 5th wheel travel trailer due to the poor brake quality of the manufacturer. I now drive on the highway with much greater confidence for our safety. The stopping power of these brakes is incredible. The quality of the brakes are superior. I installed them myself finding the instructions accurate and easy to follow. There was a small part missing out of the brake line kit and the part was overnited to me by E Trailer. I have purchased many items from this company and have found the products to be of top quality and fairly priced. The customer service is outstanding. Thank you.
Is it normal for this brakerite actuator to have had brake fluid(not much
but fluid is present) iin it?
It’s been a year of use and no surge brakes problems after my conversion to the BrakeRite - electric over hydraulic pump. I have a two axel disk brake boat trailer that it now services. I like it very much and had to modify the mount placement High so it didn’t get wet when backing the boat down the boat ramp. All in all I’d recommend it if you can afford it and want more consistent stopping power.

I put this on a pull behind motorcycle camper trailer and it worked great I would buy again
This EHB system works great for stopping my 19000lb. boat. Once I came up with a mounting bracket to keep the EHB above the water line, installation went smooth.
Couldn't get the brake actuator to work with our trailer and the controller I have.
Still not working
Works perfectly fine for my 15K Lbs boat trailer. Haven't had any issues with it since. The last one I replaced it with worked for over 12 years. The old one finally got dry rotted and was slowly leaking fluid. Could've kept using it but decided to replace it with this new one before a big trip.
