Replacement Gear/Linkage and Motor for Kwikee 28 Series Steps

Question:

my minnie winnie kwikee steps are missing the motor and linkage/gearbox. The steps are a series 28, serial no 113821. It has the control box, pn 909506000 0067908 What motor.gearbox linage do I need, can I use the old control box?

The correct gear/linkage that you need for your Kwikee 28 Series Steps is the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Gear/Linkage with B part # LC379161 and the correct motor is the Lippert Components Kwikee Motor and Screws for New IMGL Step part # LC379147. I reached out to Lippert and they informed me that the control box you have now is compatible with these components.

Question : In what position the step should be in or out, I am replacing the motor and gearbox, is the door should open or closed

I would open your door and have the step out when you replace the linkage so that you have easier access to the underside of the step assembly.
