Question:

We have a 2002 motorhome and need to replace the step motor and the linkage. Our step is a kwikee series 28 and pre imgl. We have Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Replacement Kit For Pre-IMGL - LC379608 LC379161 Lippert Components Kwikee Step Gear/Linkage with B 1101426 - LC379161 in our cart. Are these correct and will they work together?

I confirmed with my contact at Lippert that motor kit # LC379608 and linkage kit # LC379648 are indeed the correct replacement parts for your older Kwikee Series 28 electric coach step. My contact indicated you do NOT also need linkage kit # LC379161.

We do also have an update kit for this older step, part # LC379769, which includes the latest design integrated motor/gearbox/linkage. This brings your step more in line with their current production models.

Another option that might cost more but take a lot less time is a whole replacement step such as Kwikee 28 Series # LC3747453.
