The Kwikee 26 Series Electric RV Step automatically extends when you open the door and retracts when you close it. The built-in control unit and motor handle the movement, while an override switch lets you lock the step in the extended position when parked. If you start the engine or the step meets an obstacle, it safely retracts on its own to prevent damage. The amber incandescent light turns on when the step is out, making it easy to see at night.
This single 23-1/2" wide step is made from sturdy, powder-coated steel with solid steel drive rods and stainless steel bushings for long-term durability. The weatherproof wiring stands up to rain and road grime, and air-pressed rivets at the pivot points keep the frame tight over time. With a 300 lb weight capacity, it feels solid underfoot and resists flexing or bending.
Each step surface features a non-slip tread and bright reflective strips that improve visibility and traction in all conditions. The amber light underneath helps you see where you’re stepping after dark, adding an extra layer of safety for you, your kids, or your pets.
Everything you need comes in the box—motor, control unit, switch kit, and step light. The control unit wires directly to the door to sync with opening and closing, and the included 4-way plug fits standard wiring harnesses. The step measures 23-1/2" wide x 9-7/8" deep with a 5" drop/rise and mounts on a 24-1/4" by 10" plate. It runs on 12V power and draws 10 amps through the control unit, keeping operation smooth and dependable every trip.
