Replacement Entry Step For a 2008 Coachmen Freedom Express 21QB

Question:

Looking to buy replacement steps for 2008 coachman freedom express 21qb. RV repair guy pulled the steps off but wasnt able to put new ones on and now wont contact me again. I need to figure out what size those were. I can send photos. Should I measure to figure it out? Thanks

Unfortunately Thayne, I have no way to look up what parts were installed on your 2008 Coachmen Freedom Express 21QB motorhome. So you are going to need to measure for the width of your step and the amount the step needs to drop. Here is a list of the different single steps we offer with the widths.

Thank you for the quick reply. The steps are no longer there and I dont have them so what is should I measure where the steps were before to know which size I should buy? Thanks

@Thayne You will want to measure the width of the step area which you will still likely be able to see below the door. Also you will want to measure how tall the side trim sits below the mounting area to ensure you get a step that will clear when they fold out. If unsure please take some pictures along with any measurements you can and send them to me to look over.

@BudM Thanks again. I went and measured. The mounting bolts are 22" wide. The depth (I took pictures) is 10" deep. The floor of the rv to ground is 14". Let me know if this is the info you need.

@Thayne The Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Single - 28 Series - 23-5/8" Wide # LC3747453 has the mounting holes 22" wide and 6-1/2" deep. The Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Single - 35 Series - 24" Wide # LC3691461 and Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Single - 38 Series - 24" Wide # LC3723383 have the mounting holes 22" wide and 8" deep. With you having the 14" height the # LC3723383 would likely be the best option having an extended height of 6-1/8"
