Question:

We have a 2022 Jayco motor home. Our step all of a sudden just started to retract every time we close the door and the power step switch is off. We open the door and the step comes back out. Any help would be appreciated.

If your Kwikee Steps # LC3711363 all of a sudden aren't operating correctly on a nearly brand new motorhome then my first recommendation would be to check the wiring for any damage or loose connections and then test the ground and the 12v power wire to ensure it's actually getting a full 12 volts.

As for the switch, you'll want to have it on to keep the steps out when the door is closed. If the override switch is off then the steps will go back to normal mode, which means the steps will extend when the door opens and retract when the door closes.

If the switch is on and they keep retracting then either the door sensor or the controller are bad and would need to be replaced # LC379146. For the door switch I would need to see some pictures of the current one to determine the correct one to fit your door.

We drove off this morning and had power to our steps. We arrived a short time later to have the Keizer steps not extending. We hard checked a we have no power to the steps. Any suggestions ?
