Designed for Durability
One piece of Brite-Tread aluminum with welded ends makes up the body of this tool box. Easy Opening and Closing
This Specialty Series tool box comes with one locking t-handle latch. The locking handle deters theft of your belongings and is operated with the provided keys. The drop down door includes safety stop chains to prevent the door from falling into the side of your truck and causing damage. To close the tool box, simply push the reinforced door upward.

Video Transcript for DeeZee Truck Bed Topsider Toolbox Review
Today, we're going to be showing you the quick installation process of the DeeZee specialty series truck bed toolbox, Part Number DZ70. The drop side door provides easy access to cargo while you are standing along side of your truck. Its secure, weather-resistant storage helps prevent your gear from getting damaged by the elements. It has a watertight C channel and bulb seal to prevent water from getting inside the box. After figuring out where we want to mount our box, we'll begin our installation by placing out our foam pad onto the rails of our pick-up truck. Now for today's demonstration, we're not going to be removing the adhesive backing on our foam pads.
We'll place both the foam pads down, and peel off the adhesive backing, and put them in place. We'll now go ahead and lift the box up and place it onto our foam pads, on the side of our pick-up truck. Well now go ahead and open the drop door, exposing the inside of the box, which we'll need to drill through the box and through the bed rail of our pick-up truck. We'll then take the included hardware, which we'll need to screw through the box and through the rail of our pick-up truck. With this done, we'll go ahead and move to the inside of our truck bed.
Now we have a second set of hands helping us out, as we're not going to drill in the bed of our truck. We'll now take two, black side brackets, which are going to go and mount to the bottom of our pick-up truck bed and the under side of our box. After adjusting the space that we'll need, there are two pre-drilled holes in the brackets, which we'll need to take the screws and bolt them together, which is going to secure the bracket in place. Once we have positioned our bracket in place and have the correct distance to hold up the rear of the box, we'll go ahead and take a drill and screw our screws down through the bottom portion of the bracket, through the truck bed, and then up through the bottom portion of the box. Now with this done, we'll go ahead and need to repeat the same process for the other side. With that, that'll complete today's quick installation demonstration of the DeeZee specialty series truck bed box, top side style, Part Number DZ70.

I needed a tool box for the deckover trailer with 16" wheels that I haul my yard service equipment on. The trailer is much lower than most commercial rigs(with 22.5") wheels and this was the only one that I could find that fit. It seems to be made as well as the bigger boxes and is light for its size. It has done everything that I need it to do and done it well for a year already.

The DeeZee tongue box has been an ok box for storing all my off-road gear for my RZR and trailer items. Haven't had any water leaks or problems. Latch and lock have worked correctly. I mounted it on the tongue of my Aluma utility trailer that I use to haul my RZR. Most of the gear I have stored in it is pretty light weight. This box seems to be lite weight constructed; not sure how it would do for heavy items. One year using it and it still works and looks good on my trailer. This review template would not upload my photos??

Seems like a solid lightweight box. The latch and locking mechanism are solid and the hinge is reinforced which is nice. I also like that the gas strut for the lid has a sleeve so if any gear shifts it won't interfere or damage the strut.

Boxes arrived in 3-4 days. I got used ones and was very happy I didn’t pay the full price. They work fine just a few dinges. I painted the inside white to see tools easier. The boxes are aluminum, seems very light duty. I wouldn’t step on top of it. When you close the top, the sides flex when pressure is put on the latch. I would have preferred a heavy steel, but needed a small box for the location and this was the only one I could find. For an ATV it might work ok. Overall pretty happy- I just installed so we’ll see how they hold up over time. Next time I would look for a heavy steel one. I paid for 2 used ones the price of one new... to me a new one would not be worth the price they are asking... just too light duty.

I luv this thing... I use the fuel tank all the time.. the large capacity is awesome.. the toolbox is fantastic for capacity n the ease to reach.. U will not find a better combo on market today!

First, I like it a lot. There is lots of room inside, it meets my needs and I would buy it again because I think it is a very good value! Cons, Steel latch which means 3 months outside and it is already rusting. (I will eventually replace with a marine grade.) The unit is very strong on the outer sides, but not so much in the middle. I am 200 lbs and can stand on the outer sides of it, but I would not try to do so in the middle. (Note - Manufacturer does NOT recommend standing on it at all and I am not suggesting you do!) Depending on your specific trailer frame and what you intend to put in the tool box you may need to add some bottom support. You can see where I added a support bar in the front. If I was doing this mount over again, I would add a support or 2 in the middle because a couple of spare axle hubs and a bottle jack are causing it to sag significantly.

I use this on my custom teardrop trailer and I really like this tongue box.
One year later, this is holding up well. The only thing is that the lock hinge started to show a little rust almost right away, but it hasn't progressed too much. It was a little disappointing though.
That said, I love that this has a padlock instead of having to use yet-another small key (I already have 3 just for my teardrop). It wasn't something I considered originally but figured out as soon as I put my combo lock on it.
I do really like this tongue box. It was the perfect addition to my teardrop build.

The box is good quality and it fits on my atv. It has a dust and rain gasket on the lid but, it doesnt have any latches to keep the lid closed. I guess I missed that in the description because it doesn't say there are latches, it just says its lockable. If it had a latch it would get 5 stars.

i returned the brackets and fashioned my own since one size didn't fit all.
the aluminum cargo bays (one on each side) are a great addition- glad i got them they are very handy and always in use.

Fits 2 group 31 batteries with room to spare. High quality box that looks and works great. The box does not come with battery hold downs, which I prefer because I could mount the batteries any way I wanted.

Great deal. Purchased at "dinged" version of the product so paid about $87 vs. $290 for undamaged product. Dinged version was noted as "everything works", and it does. About 10-15 mins of gentle banging and twisting it looks as good as new, after a little bit of use. Nothing stays new forever. Winch and battery fit inside on the bottom nicely, will install a a pull out shelf/tray above the winch/battery for storing tie down straps and bolted a solar trickle charger on the lid to keep battery charged. A nice piece and a cost effective find for me. Thanks.
