Question:

I bought this ladder Brophy Camper Scissor Steps - 4 Steps - Aluminum - Non-Slip Tread - 24 Wide - 300 lbs and an extra bracket. 1 bracket is rust free, the other is all rust. i can send a picture if need be. Can i get a proper bracket?

To replace the mounting bracket that came with the Brophy Camper Scissor Steps - 4 Steps # AS24 you need the part # AS2002.

Rust can be really annoying to deal with, especially on parts like this that are exposed to a lot of the elements. If you start to see rust spring up again, the best way to fight it is to cover up the rust spot with some kind of coating - spray paint is a great way to get a basic coating.

I understand how to control rust. I have painted it twice. The fact that 1 bracket is rust free and the other is covered in rust indicates a product issue. I don't feel I should need to pay for another bracket since it is an obvious manufacturer issue

@Michael I get where you're coming from. I'll send in a note to have our customer service team reach out to you about this, but rust typically isn't covered under warranties (across multiple companies) and these steps don't have a warranty so I'm not sure what they will be able to do.
