Getting in and out feels solid and natural thanks to the built-in landing gear that keeps the bottom step in full contact with the ground. Each leg adjusts independently to match uneven terrain, so there’s no teetering or bounce when you step up. The large footplates stay level and help prevent sinking into soft soil. With a 375 lb weight capacity and a 7-1/2" rise, the stairs feel sturdy underfoot whether you’re hauling gear or helping pets climb in.
Once folded, the steps lock into the white powder-coated steel bracket on the outside of your camper—no need to detach or find space inside. A retention strap keeps them stowed tight, and the lockable storage bracket keeps them from rattling or moving while driving. When you’re ready to set up, simply release the strap and pull them down for solid, steady steps in seconds.
Built from aircraft-grade aluminum, these steps are both durable and rustproof while staying easy to handle at about 32 lbs. Stainless steel hinges are bolted together, not riveted, so each piece can be replaced or added later if needed. Bushing bearings give the scissor movement a smooth action that won’t seize up over time. The white powder-coated bracket resists corrosion, keeping everything clean and solid through years of use.
The 20" wide x 8" deep treads feature a built-in SureGrip surface for traction in wet or dusty conditions. Glow tape along the sides charges in just five minutes of light and glows for up to ten hours, making every step easy to see after dark. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference when you’re climbing in at night or guiding pets and kids safely aboard.
This 4-step setup fits entry heights from 31" to 42", giving a comfortable climb that feels like real stairs. The 23" wide x 14-1/2" tall x 8-1/2" deep mounting bracket provides a strong connection, and the steps extend about 38" when deployed. The compact, fold-up design saves space yet delivers the solid feel of permanent stairs every time you use them.

The steps are great. Installation directions were clear and the end result looks really good. The only advice I can give is to measure the steps when the camper is on the truck (I had to swap out for a larger set) and look closely at where you are mounting it- I put it a little closer than I wanted to my propane access.
Very well made with "extra" hardware to cover the many different installation possibilities. These take a lot of stress out of using our camper.
If getting into your camper is a challenge, I highly recommend these.
This thing is extremely well built. It doesn't feel rickety at all. It supports my 280 pound body easily. I have the fox landing on my truck camper arctic fox 990. The bracket was about 4 inches longer than the side of the landing. I used the existing tapped thread hole in the landing . The other 5 bolts i had to drill out them used all the stainless bolts included in the kit to make a solid 6 bolt connection. I even used the other 2 tapped bolt threads with large washers just because they were there but with the 6 bolts it's more than plenty to keep this firmly mounted. I'll probably just pull them out Since their really not supporting anything. The adjustable legs are easily adjusted for ground height. You can buy locks for them but really that's just gonna keep the honest people from stealing your stuff. It just takes a couple nuts getting removed and your steps walk off but i doubt that would happen.
Love our new stairs!!! We are in our 70’s and these stairs make it much easier getting up and down from our truck camper. Excellent product and we highly recommend!

Sturdy, easy to install and operate. Adjusts to the height of the ground, hill or slope. Great investment.
We purchased these one year ago and rank them in our "Best Life Purchases" category. Quick and easy to deploy and store and to clean. We carry a few jack pads with us to help level them if the ground slopes away. Also, with the added pet covers between the rungs, our dog goes up and down without hesitation or fear. In the event that we offload our truck camper and lowered to the ground, these steps can be quickly detached from the bracket so that a step stool can be used instead. As for buying from eTrailer, we give them 5 stars as well. Product shipped quickly and securely. Customer service is excellent!

At first wasn’t sure how the 4 steps would work when Camper was off the truck. Called Torqlifts support line and Todd explained it would be like a ladder. Works excellent as a ladder off the truck and pulled completely out as steps while on the truck. Very satisfied with our purchase quality you’d expect built in the USA.

Best set of camper steps I have ever had. Especially like the glow in the dark strips at night when exiting the camper. They fold up easy and deploy even easier. Also because I tow a boat or RV trailer I pop them off and it stores in the back of the camper. They are stable and safe even when wet or have snow on them. The best part about them is the wife likes them just as much as I do, and this puts me in the bonus column.
These stairs are a must for a pickup camper. Easy to use and very sturdy. Installation was easy and straight forward.

I’ve never been disappointed with a Tork Lift product, I have their Camper tie down kit AND the Stable Loads on this truck, so putting the Glow Steps on was a no brainer. etrailer had the best price, free shipping and the order process was simple. Arrived a day earlier than I expected!
Easy install, solid set of steps, completely changed the access dynamic of our truck camper. I’d buy again.
My only request would be that Tork Lift would make the bolt holder/fisher tool about 2’ longer as I installed on a bumper that only opened on one end.
These scissor steps make a huge difference for us to safely and easily enter our camper whether it is on the truck or not. I did modify one thing. The gap between the top scissor step and the truck landing was too wide and I was concerned we might step through the opening. I rectified this by attaching one of the original steps to the landing which gave an extra step and took up the space between the top scissor step and the landing. Attached pictures show this modification. The steps still fold nicely to the Arctic Fox Landing while traveling and attacing the steps to the side gave easy reach to the ladder for stability until I reach the handle on the camper itself.
Love the steps, but if you’re close to the max height, size up. Would have been a lot cheaper and easier for me to get the five step than to have to do the add a step kit

The steps arrived in a box that was well dented, battered and in overall poor condition. I was skeptical that inside the steps would be Ok. However, after openoing I was surprised to see they in OK condition. The installation was relatively easy if you disconnect the steps from the bracket first. Otherwise, the weight would be too much for one person. After installation and opening and closing the steps as shown I could see the left handle to allow the steps to go in was bent. Not by much, but enough that I need to push left alittle to allow the steps to go in. We are leaving next week for a RV get away and will be able to provide a much thorough review once we arrive back home. I am impressed with steps in general with the quality and especially with the Customer Service. My only complaint is with the box and condition of the box after arriving at my home in such poor condition. Photos have been included with this review.
East peasy install if you can drill a hole, or six. All the hardware is included. I was lucky enough not to need the fish cable.
Four stars because the hitch pins that lock the steps to the bracket need improved (they hold it together when you use the steps..they are not great
Our truck camper came with a single swing down step that has worked well for years but as our doctor says ‘as our body’s continue to age’ we found our knees and balance weren’t what they use to be.
The installation was straight forward. We chose the installation option to close the gap between the mounting bracket and the first step. The only gripe is the wire that snakes the bolt thru the bumper. Come on TorkLift what we pay for these steps I don’t think a $2.00 part is going to hurt the profit margin. Supply one with enough length to do the job.
The steps are great, wish we had purchased them earlier.Easy to fold and extend and look great.
We are anxious to see how the work in camp.

We should have purchased these steps sooner, even our dog likes them, he doesn’t hesitate getting back into the camper now.for No mechanical issues they work as designed. I would recommend a fold out handrail for better balance going up and down, remember we are getting older.

Not perfect but the only solution for what I need. I have an existing Torklift bumper on my slide in truck camper. It came with one flip down step. My truck bed is very high and I need at least 5 steps to get in. It would have been great if Torklift made a set of these stairs specifically for this application where someone has already invested in their bumper. Like everything else Torklift, these are over priced for what they are but are still the best option.

These are as amazing as advertised. These are showing no wear at all after many camping trips and staying in the camper at home. I cant wait to get the handrail.
