Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement anti-rattle hitch bolt for your Yakima bike racks. This is going to replace the threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt for your Yakima BigHorn 4, DoubleDown, FlipSide, HoldUp, or SwingDaddy bike racks. And this is also going to work with your Yakima DryDock boat support carriers as well. On your screen, as you can see, I have included the item numbers for you for your reference.
And as you no doubt know, this bolt secures your hitch mounted bike or boat carrier to your vehicle's hitch receiver. And it includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get one half-inch hitch bolt, two washers, and one clip. So, whenever you're going to put this into place, you just want to make sure that you put the split washer under the head of the bolt and then follow that up with the flat washer. And then you're gonna tighten this down using a 3/4 of an inch or 19 millimeter wrench.
You, of course, wanna make sure that it's nice and tight. And put the clip into place and you are in business. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

Perfect fit for my Yakima Hold Up 2 bike rack. My rack is a 1.25” but I used a spacer to make it fit into a 2” hitch. This pin works Perfect and keeps the rack nice and snug. Took forever to find the right fit. Wish I had tried etrailer first.

This bolt is good quality, but unfortunately the wrong size for my Bighorn 4 rack. Yakima told me that my rack took a 1/2" bolt. Apparently my Bighorn 4 was manufactured between 2003 and 2006, and takes a 5/8" bolt. Luckily etrailer is excellent to work with and made my return simple and quick.
the fit is great for what I was using it for (Yakima 2 timer hitch bike rack). the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the clip on the end to prevent the bolt from coming out completely if it comes loose is kind of weak, and given that it is a safety feature I think it should be stiffer/harder to get off the end of the bolt.
Fits great on the new car. The receiver is wider than our other car.
Key is too small to engage the threaded sleeve in the hitch; looks like me Yakima swing-away rack was discontinued in 2008, and needs a key close to the 11mm range.

Not much to say for a bolt other than, it works! The part fit as expected for the now ancient Yakima bike rack (Double Down) we have.

I had been looking for the mounting hardware for my Yakima DoubleDown and everywhere I checked they were out of stock. This pin fits my older Yakima hitch mount bike rack (I think it is a bighorn 4) and it also fits my newer Toyota Sequoia, which has a wider receiver, which was too wide for the original pin. Now I can carry bikes on my Sequoia! :)
Sales rep was very helpful. I needed a hitch pin for a Yakima bike rack I bought at an estate sale. I didn't know what rack I bought as there wasn't any paperwork or information plate on rack. She called Yakima and tried to find out what pin I needed. Unfortunately, the pin they came up turned out to be wrong pin. But can't blame eTrailer. They did all they could with the information I had.
For what it is, it's a nice piece of hardware. But, it doesn't fit on the rack I ordered it for. I have a Yakima SwingDaddy, and this should have fit it, but the original nut in the rack was metric, and the threads on this are standard. I replaced the nut in the rack and moved on. I especially like that this has an end that fits in a hitch-pin lock.
This fit my Yakima hitch mount bike rack as described. An affordable after-market solution to what Yakima insists on making a proprietary-sized item. Thanks etrailer for the great website, product description, and product reviews.
