Question:

I have a 2024 Tacoma and a Yakima hangover bike rack, but the factory anti rattle hitch pin is not long enough due to the added metal around the hitch receiver, Does Yakima make a longer, lockable, compatible hitch pin?

Hey Ethan, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Yakima does not make a longer anti-rattle hitch pin. The pin # Y52FR is the longest one they offer, unfortunately.

Regarding Yakima Exo hangover bike rack: My 2025 4 runner has the same problem as 2024 Tacoma the added metal around hitch doesn’t allow anti rattle hitch pin to fit. Part SKU: #8880953 . Is there a 5/8 pin that has the same thread that is long enough?

@OmarB No, there is not. To secure your bike rack you'll need to remove the threaded insert in the shank of your Hangover bike rack, so you can use the etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches item # e98881. It has an extended 3-5/8" inside pin length which is compatible with the receiver on your 4-Runner. You will lose the anti-rattle feature but you'll be able to use and secure your bike rack.
