Rugged, Matte Black Finish

The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

  • Best Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2006 Honda CR-V
The best trailer hitch receiver for your 2006 Honda CR-V is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e69AR so that's what I recommend going with. All of the trailer hitches for your CR-V are pretty much the same, but what sets this hitch apart from the rest is the matte black finish. This finish does a great job at blending in with any black trim on your vehicle as well as hiding scratches that might occur from road debris. Not only does the hitch have better looks, but that difference is...

  • How to Identify Which 2003 Honda CR-V Hitch Hardware Kit I Need
There are 3 hitches made for the 2003 Honda CRV. They each are designed differently and they each have different hardware kits. There are three Class III hitches, the Draw-Tite # 75690, the Curt # 13535, and the etrailer Hitch # e69AR. You can order the replacement hardware using part # RHK and entering the hitch part number. I've also linked the installation instructions for all 3 hitches and an installation video for two of them for your convenience. Keep in mind that we don't recommend...

  • Is Support Strap Needed for Carrying Bike Rack on 2003 Honda CR-V with etrailer Hitch Receiver
You do not need a support strap to carry your bikes with the Class III etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e69AR on your 2003 Honda CR-V. The hitch will definitely be strong enough to hold the bikes and your bike rack. If you'd like to add one just to help limit movement of your bike rack then I recommend picking up the Curt # 18050.

  • How to Avoid Pushing Hitch Mounting Bolts Back Into Frame During Hitch Installation
Thank you for your insight, Alan! I 100% agree with you that the whole feeding bolts through the frame and lifting the hitch in place can be super tricky and it's easy to lose bolts inside the frame. The only real issue with going with smaller bolts is that they would be weaker and would likely lower the weight capacity of the hitch. When installing those types of hitches, like the etrailer # e69AR you installed, if you leave the pull-wire on the bolts and feed those through the holes...

  • Best Solutions For Carrying a Bike Rack Behind a 2004 Honda CR-V
The simplest and most economical option is going to be the Hollywood Racks SR1 2-Bike Carrier # HRSR1. This does mount on the spare tire but the arms which hold the bike can be slide to the side allowing you to better center the bikes behind your 2004 Honda CR-V. Do understand the maximum weight for each bike is 35lbs for this and is common among these types of racks. For a stronger rack that will be easier to use with your rear door you would want to add our Receiver # e69AR. This would...

  • Will The Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring From a 2005 Honda CR-V fit The 2007 CR-V?
You will need a new etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e39AR for your 2007 Honda CR-V. The design of the receiver has changed from the Receiver # e69AR which fits your 2005 CR-V. You will also need a new T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118427 as the factory side connector this connects to has also changed.
