Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at a replacement master cylinder assembly, specifically for the Dexter Model 60 and the Arrow 7,500 brake actuators for drum brakes. Now folks, as I just mentioned, the two models, this works for the Dexter model 60 and the Arrow 7,500. Drum brakes only, you're gonna get the master cylinder. You've already got the gasket, the top plate, the screw on caps included.
All the bolts here wouldn't need to be tightened down. They're just kinda loosely fit there. And then you'll obviously, you'll put your brake fluid in there and then your cap will just go back on obviously, and just gotta get lined up here. There we go. And then you've got your brake line connector here, and then you've got the boot over here for the rod assembly and everything.
So very easy direct replacement part to work, again, for those Dexter Model 60 and Arrow 7,500. Now it does come with the lock washer, like I said, those kind of things. The gasket, all the bolts and everything you need. So what you see is what you're getting. Very nice, well made product.
This again is a replacement master cylinder assembly. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
Product great, service and comunication was increadible!
My purchase arrived on the day promised. The parts fit perfectly. There is nothing left to say except, thank you!
Everything worked out well. Shipping was quick. Received item in 3 days.
Needed replacement part shipped on time. Back on the road working fine.
Part worked without modification. Not impressed with the plastic threaded cap.
Great products, found items I could not fine anywhere else with the best prices, shipping and delivery.
Product was as described, fit perfectly and looked to be of good quality. All pieces were included, except for any kind of instruction sheet, which disappointed me. Shipping was free and speedy. I would definitely purchase from you again.
Best price anywhere. Prompt, inexpensive shipping. Part was as described and fit perfectly. Due to a mistake of my own I had to return a different item and etrailer Customer Service was friendly and very professional.
Had to replace the brakes on a boat trailer. After finding etrailer, it became an easy decision that and more cost effective to replace the assemblies instead of pads and cylinders individually.
After trying to bleed the system and having trouble, etrailer had the master cylinder in stock and got it to me in no time at all to complete the repairs needed.
This fit my Trailer Aluminum car trailer fine, and is an exact replacement to the Titan 60. I really only needed a rebuild kit, but seems no such kit is available for this master cylinder.
This one required a little bit of modification I had to have some welding done. This is a little bit taller of a unit that I had so I had to have the top cut off of my housing and re-welded another additional $250 but the part worked great.
Perfect replacement for my trailer with surge brakes.
quick shipping. easy to use site.
Perfect fit and best price out there. Was delivered faster then my prime membership would have. Easy install and (thanks to etrailer) have a whole new braking system under my Outlaw.
Thanks Steven & etrailer for listening and your expert follow up!!
Good product at a good price. Got it installed and the system bled (the old brake fluid looked like thin mud coming out!) and everything works well. Install was easy, with the exception that the old master cylinder that I removed looks to have been just a hair shorter than this one that I got from etrailer. The new one was a tiny bit too tall for it to slide in the back of the actuator. I ended up removing the actuator from the tongue of the trailer to get the master cylinder bolted onto it. With the four master cylinder bolts torqued down it fit fine and the actuator easily went back into place on the tongue.
I do wish it had a metal cap like the old one that it replaced, but that is not a huge deal. I hope the plastic one holds up.
Quick shipping and exactly what I ordered and expected. Thank you.
Exactly what I expected. Looking nice. Packed nice. Want to install it later today.
I don't like to give bad reviews, but I want to share so others don't experience what I did. I don't know what happened on this one on my car hauler flat bed trailer. I installed it and filled it with brake fluid, and bled the lines and pressure tested and pulled it around town for a test run, all was good. By the time I took a trip with my trailer one year later in August, 2025, all of the fluid was gone, no signs of fluid leaks anywhere on the trailer frame or concrete below it, maybe it evaporated in the TX heat? It was rusted inside, I refilled it as is and had to take my trip. Within 200 miles, one of the brakes locked up and was over heating the hub and was smoking hot, we were lucky catch it. I loosened the line at the back of the master cylinder, and the fluid released in the line and the brake immediately released, I'm sure the master cylinder was plugged. I completed the remaining 1,200 miles of the trip without trailer brakes. I am frustrated that a new unit would loosed its fluid and rust with barely any use of the system. And of

I am sorry to hear about your experience with this master cylinder. I am not sure exactly what caused that but I do know if a trailer sits for a long period of time is can rust or corrode. There is a chance the original master cylinder was faulty, or there was a damaged wheel cylinder inside the brake drum itself. Have you used it at all since your trip?

Quick delivery, excellent customer service and great prices, as usual.
When I installed the Brake Fluid Master Cylinder reservoir on the coupler. It was a bit oversized in height. Finally was able to bolt on. Then when I was screwing in the four top bolts to hold the reservoir in place, one of the bolts snapped off in the housing. It will have to be extruded somehow.
Brake lines - no problem.

Looks great. Came pretty fast. Lets hope it lasts a long time like the original one.
The master cylinder I reicieved is as good as anywhere else plus etrailer was the cheapest and fast delivery. Will do business with again.

The plastic master cylinder cap seems to leak. Other than that, its fine.
