Replacement UFP A-60 Master Cylinder to Switch from Disc to Drum Brakes
Updated 01/27/2026 | Published 08/20/2024 >
Question:
I have an UFP A-60 disk brake actuator. I’d like to convert my system to drum brakes. As far as the actuator, can I just replace to master cylinder to one for drum brakes or will I need to replace the whole actuator?

Thanks for reaching out, Shawn!
You can swap out your current master cylinder for the Replacement Master Cylinder Assembly for Dexter Model 60 and Aero 7500 Brake Actuators # T4395100 to lower the hydraulic pressure so it's compatible with drum brake.

Hey Shawn, how did the swap to the new master cylinder for your UFP A-60 actuator go? Did it bring the pressure down enough for your drum brakes? Your update could make it easier for others doing the same conversion.
