Normally I order most everything from Amazon, but when it comes to ordering the exact parts, and getting exceptional customer service, I turn to etailer. Yes, their prices are higher than Amazon, but they also stock everything needed and ship and deliver it, fast. I also really like the fact I can speak to someone in the country, who knows what they're talking about. When you call, they spend as much time as needed to solve the issue, without rushing or just trying to sell something you don't need. I read about etrailer in an RV magazine, and happy I gave them a try.

by:

It fit snuggly

All my items were received in timely fashion. Great service @ etrailer.
However, Dexter (I ordered original Dexter parts) needs to up the game on packaging. I ordered four hub assemblies and the bearings were placed in a plastic bag which I'm sure banged around on the hub. A bubble envelope would have been nice to protect the bearings.
I'm looking forward to upgrading my trailer with new Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brakes as was getting tired of constantly manually adjusting the brakes. Glad that etrailer has all the parts I need to do the job.

Just got back from a short camping trip and everything worked as it should.

Thank you James!

by:

This was for a replacement part that I did not receive with the axle bearing kit. etrailer was very helpful with getting me the part.

by:

All parts ordered to replace a complete brake system on a 25-year-old boat trailer fit perfectly. Ashly from etrailer was very knowledgeable regarding are needs. Thank you!

by:

This product not seem to fit the axle nut as snuggly I wanted. I actually went back to the old cotter pin, because it felt as though it might come off if I hit a big bump.

by:

Fast shipping, perfect fit

  • How To Install the CE Smith Spool Roller Assembly On a Boat Trailer
Hi Alex, To remove the spool so you can install mounting bolts all you have to do is remove the pal nut, pull out the pin, and then remove the roller. Once you've installed the bracket, reinstall the pin and roller with the pal nut/cap nut. If you're careful the cap nut won't be damaged, however, if the cap nut gets damaged in this process you can use the Replacement Cap Nut 5/8" part # CE10801 to replace it. Depending on the angle you're installing the unit at, it is possible to install...

  • Replacement Bearings And Seals For A 2019 Jayco North Point 387RDFS
Hey Dave, There unfortunately isn't a way for us to look up the bearings and grease seals by using the model number or VIN for the trailer, we would instead need to see the axle tag sticker on the axle tube to be able to look up the parts. You can also remove the hub and take your bearings and grease seal out and see if the part numbers are still stamped into them or you can measure points B, C, and D from the diagram with a caliper # PTW80157 for the inner diameters and the hub bore...

Let me know if it was the caps diameter and I can find one that size too. What kind of trailer are you replacing these on?

  • How to Remove a Hub From a Trailer Spindle
To remove a hub from an axle, you will need to first remove the grease cap on the end of the hub. This will expose the end of the spindle. Once at this point, you will need to see if you have an EZ-Lube spindle, like # TRU77FR, or a standard spindle, like # TRU57FR. If you have the standard spindle, there will be a castle nut threaded onto the end of said spindle that is locking a fairly large washer in place.
