Question:

i have e-z lube spindles on my trailer, there was nothing keeping the nut from backing off, what do i need?? i have pictures to send. Spindle at end is 22.6mm

EZ lube spindles generally use a tang washer to prevent the castle nut from turning. There are different sizes available depending on what is needed. For example, # 5-101 has an inner diameter of 1 inch. Washer # 5-71 has a different design and a 1-1/2 inch inner diameter. Washer # 5-59 is similar but larger with a 1-3/4 inch inner diameter.

Sometimes you will see a D-shaped opening on an EZ spindle washer such as # 5-23. On this one the distance from the straight edge to the furthest edge of the rounded part is 0.88 inches which equates to 22.6mm.

And finally, sometimes there is a nut retainer such as # 6-190. This model fits nut # 6-191 which fits a threaded spindle that is 1 inch in diameter with 14 threads per inch typically found on 2,000 to 8,000 pound EZ lube axles.
