Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Locking Cable

Note: The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the hitch must be 1-1/2" or greater to use this rack.

Approved for use on cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, and motorhomes - not approved for fifth wheels or towable campers

Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack

This easy-to-use, hitch-mounted rack lets you transport 2 bikes on the back of your vehicle. It has fold-up anti-sway cradles and ratcheting straps that make it easy to load and unload your bikes. The cradles are set 7" apart, so there's enough space between your bikes to prevent them from becoming tangled on the rack. HitchSwitch levers let you tilt the rack away from your vehicle for access to your rear cargo area and fold the arms down when not in use.

Folding Dual Arms with HitchSwitch Lever

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Folding Dual Arms with HitchSwitch Lever

The Camber has dual arms that provide your bikes with excellent support and ground clearance during transport.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Switch Lever

The upper HitchSwitch lever lets you fold the arms down when not in use.

HideAway Anti-Sway Cradles

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Anti-Sway Cradles

The Camber has HideAway anti-sway cradles that secure each bike twice along the top tube and once along the seat post or downtube. This reduces rocking to help eliminate bike-to-bike and bike-to-vehicle contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the arms to accommodate your bikes' frames. Each cradle is set 7" apart on the arms, so there is more space between your bikes when compared with many other hanging-style racks. The added space helps prevent your bikes from becoming tangled on the rack.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Grooves

The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Folding Cradles

Durable, dual-molded ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.

Tilting Rack with HitchSwitch Lever

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Tilting

The rack tilts for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Just pull up on the HitchSwitch lever at the base of the rack, and lower the rack into position. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Lower HitchSwitch Lever

The HitchSwitch lever is located right behind the base of the mast. This makes it easy to reach with one hand and steady the mast with the other.

Easy Installation

Thule EasyFold XT

The Camber easily installs in your hitch with the included threaded hitch pin. Just slide the shank into your receiver, insert the hitch pin, and then tighten it down with the included tool. The pin also works as an anti-wobble device to eliminate sway and rattle in the receiver.

Hitch Compatibility

Thule Camber 2-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Adapter

The rack includes a sleeve that slides over the 1-1/4" shank to convert the rack for use with 2" hitch receivers. The sleeve attaches to the shank with a single screw and can be installed or removed in seconds.

Review from a similar Camber in Hitch Bike Racks

I recently purchased this Thule bike rack. It was easy to figure out how to use and easy to load the bikes on. It does take a few minutes to load 4 bikes but the more times I do it the faster I get! The bikes are secure and do not bang together. A great buy! 793602

Review from a similar Camber in Hitch Bike Racks

Very easy to install and to attach our bikes- two adult bikes and two children's 20 inch bikes. The bikes are very secure on the rack. There is minimal movement while driving. It is also easy enough for me to attach alone and I'm not that strong and I have a bum shoulder. This rack works perfectly with our 2019 Subaru Ascent. 803856

Review from a similar Camber in Hitch Bike Racks

I love this bike rack. I installed it myself. It was very easy. Loading the bikes on the rack was simple too. I drive a Yukon XL. Because my SUV is already long was worried that I wouldn’t be able to close the garage door with the rack attached. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw I had enough room when I folded the rack down. However, I can’t have the rack in the raised position and close the garage door. But that’s ok because the bikes are so easy to remove from the rack. 793996

  • Lowering the Tailgate on a 2016 Ford F-150 with a Thule Vertex 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Rack
Being able to lower your tailgate with the Thule Camber, part # TH9058 is dependent on the length of the tailgate. The Thule Parkway, part # TH912XTR is similar in size and I've included a video of our demo team demonstrating it on a 2016 Ford F-150. The Parkway and the Vertex have similar dimensions and tilt-away distances. The Vertex may actually have a little better clearance thanks to its bent mast post, giving it just a little more room. We do have an option for carrying two bikes on a 2010 VW Beetle Convertible, but at this time there is not a trunk mount bike rack available for the convertible models. As long as your Beetle is not the Turbo S model you can use the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch, # 24679, along with a hitch mounted 2 bike rack that is compatible with a Class I Hitch. I recommend the Swagman XTC-2 bike rack, # S64670, because it is easy to load bikes on and it folds compact for storage. Another...

We have test fitted this bike rack on your vehicle and it does not come into contact with your spare tire. I would recommend the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2 inch Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers, item # D210, and the Thule Camber, item # TH9058. You will need to keep in mind that the tongue weight for the vehicle hitch and ball mount will need to be kept within the limits of the lowest rated part in the system. This means that the tongue weight of the trailer plus the weight of the bike rack and the bikes cannot exceed the lowest rated part of towing system.
