Carry two bikes, including heavier e-bikes, behind your RV with a rack that's rated for the extra bounce. Holds up to 80 lbs per bike (70 lbs in RV mode), fits fat tires, tilts for hatch access, locks up, and works with an optional ramp.

Highlights

  • Rated for RV and Trailer Use: Made for the extra bounce you get behind a trailer or motorhome.
  • Bring Your E-Bike and Your Riding Buddy's Too: Holds 2 bikes up to 80 lbs each for heavier bikes.
  • One Rack for Skinny Tires and Wide Ones: Extra-wide trays fit tires up to 5" so your road bike and your lighter e-bike or fat tire can ride on the same rack.
  • Access Cargo Without Unloading: External handle lets you tilt down to open your hatch or drop your tailgate.
  • Lock It Up and Stop Thinking About It: Locking ratchet hooks and hitch pin help secure your bikes and the rack.
  • Load and Unload Without the Deadlift: Add the optional Ramp and Bridge (S32YR - sold separately) to roll bikes into the trays.

Features to know about

Built for RVs and Rough Roads

Most manuals have a line that says it's not for use on trailers, which is not what you want to read after you already bought the rack. The E-Spec Pro is rated for RV and trailer use, so you can carry your bikes behind your rig without ignoring the fine print or constantly checking the rear camera.

Lock Your Bikes to the Rack and the Rack to Your Hitch

Locking ratchet hooks help keep your bikes secured to the rack, and the locking threaded hitch pin helps keep the rack secured to your receiver. There's also an anchor point on the drawbar for a Swagman hardened steel security chain and U lock (sold separately), so you are not guessing where to attach it.

When Your Bikes Are Heavy, Add a Ramp

Swagman ramp and bridge for Swagman E-Spec.

Swagman lists the E-Spec as RV approved for use on motorhomes and travel trailers. When used in RV mode, the per-bike rating drops to 70 lbs, which is worth knowing if your e-bikes are right near the top end.

  • Recommended Bike Rack for a Xpedition 2.0 e-Bike w/a 54" Wheelbase
Hey Tom, welcome back! The Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack item # S45SR tops out at 50" wheelbases so it's not going to work with your Xpedition 2.0. However, I have a bike rack that will. For your Xpedition 2.0 electric bike, I recommend the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack item # HLY64FR. It works with wheelbases up to 60" long. It has a 80 lbs per bike capacity so for safety and weight purposes you'll need to remove your bike's batteries when traveling. The Hollywood Racks RV Rider...

  • How Does the Hook on the Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack Work w/ Step Thru E-Bikes?
Hey Angi, welcome back! You will most likely need to use the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter Bar item # S57FR for a step thru framed bike. The hooks on the Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack item # S45SR don't go down far enough to secure bikes with real low frames. The Swagman E-Spec Pro item # S45SR has a 80 lbs per bike capacity and works with tires up to 5" wide. It is rated for use behind RV's but the capacity drops to 70 lbs per bike. If you're looking for a bike rack that is RV compatible...

  • Will Swagman Escapee Pro Work With Front Fenders and Will Swagman E-Spec Pro Fit Step-Through
Hey Sam! The Swagman Escapee Pro # S85SR will work with a step-through frame since it secures the bikes by the front tires. However, it is for that reason that this won't work with front fenders. The Swagman E-Spec Pro # S45SR will likely require an adapter bar # S57FR to secure an e-bike with a step-through frame. If you're looking for something that is RV compatible and won't require the adapter bar I recommend the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR. This...

  • Can Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack be Used at Rear of Travel Trailer
Hey Charles, the Swagman E-Spec part # S45SR is rated for use at the rear of a travel trailer so it will work great for you. It is odd that it's not closer connected to the other RV rated bike racks but that's our fault and I'll see if I can get that addressed! When used at rear of RV it is rated for up to 70 lbs so your 60 lb bikes would work just fine. What kind of bikes do you have?

  • Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack S45SR - Distance From Hitch Pin Hole To Wheel Trays
Hey Don, thanks for reaching out. For the Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack # S45SR the distance from the center of the pin hole to the closest part of the rack is 10". From the pin hole to the center of the nearest wheel tray is approximately 12-3/4". Will that be enough to clear your ladder? What kind of bikes do you have? Since they are step-thru frames you may need a few adapter bars like part # S57FR.

  • Will Swagman E-Spec Pro S45SR Work With Front Hitch On 2020 GMC 3500 Denali?
Hello Ronnie, thanks for reaching out. For the Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack # S45SR the distance from the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack is 10". With the rack folded up this distance is 6-1/2". Based on the setup you are describing it sounds like the rack would work fine folded down, but you wouldn't be able to fold it up. It will work great for Lectric XP4 750 step-through bikes, but you will need a few adapter bars part # S57FR to give you a secure attachment point for...

  • How to Determine if Swagman E-Spec Pro Would Clear Rear Spare of 2025 Rockwood Mini Lite
Hey David, on the Swagman E-Spec Pro bike rack part # S45SR the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest wheel tray would be 12-3/4 inches. If you measure out from the hitch pin hole 12-3/4 inches you would be able to determine if that's far enough out to clear the rear spare. What kind of bikes do you have?

  • What is the Weight of the Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes?
Hello Jim, Welcome to etrailer, we’re glad you’re here! The Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack # S45SR weighs about 63 lbs. It’s a heavy-duty rack designed specifically for electric bikes, so the extra weight helps provide strength and stability. I really like that it comes with the ramp, with the weight of the e-bikes it definitely comes in handy! Will that work for your setup? I am guessing you are checking to make sure you are staying within your hitch's tongue weight?

Hey David. The Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes item # S45SR measures 41.7" tall from the hitch pin hole to the top of the mast. So 42.7" if you measure from the bottom of the 2" shank. From the bottom of the wheel cradles, where they attach to the rack, to the top of the mast is just under 34" tall. The Swagman E-Spec Pro Bike Rack item # S45SR has a 70 lbs per bike capacity and fits tires up to 5" wide. It is rated to be used behind a motorhome. What kind of bikes...
