Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Locking Cable

Note: The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the hitch must be 1-1/2" or greater to use this rack.

Approved for use on cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, and motorhomes - not approved for fifth wheels or towable campers

Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack

This easy-to-use, hitch-mounted rack lets you transport 4 bikes on the back of your vehicle. It has fold-up anti-sway cradles and ratcheting straps that make it easy to load and unload your bikes. The cradles are set 7" apart, so there's enough space between your bikes to prevent them from becoming tangled on the rack. HitchSwitch levers let you tilt the rack away from your vehicle for access to your rear cargo area and fold the arms down when not in use.

Folding Dual Arms with HitchSwitch Lever

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Folding Dual Arms with HitchSwitch Lever

The Camber has dual arms that provide your bikes with excellent support and ground clearance during transport.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Switch Lever

The upper HitchSwitch lever lets you fold the arms down when not in use.

HideAway Anti-Sway Cradles

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Anti-Sway Cradles

The Camber has HideAway anti-sway cradles that secure each bike twice along the top tube and once along the seat post or downtube. This reduces rocking to help eliminate bike-to-bike and bike-to-vehicle contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the arms to accommodate your bikes' frames. Each cradle is set 7" apart on the arms, so there is more space between your bikes when compared with many other hanging-style racks. The added space helps prevent your bikes from becoming tangled on the rack.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Grooves

The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Folding Cradles

Durable, dual-molded ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.

Tilting Rack with HitchSwitch Lever

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Tilting

The rack tilts for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. Just pull up on the HitchSwitch lever at the base of the rack, and lower the rack into position. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Lower HitchSwitch Lever

The HitchSwitch lever is located right behind the base of the mast. This makes it easy to reach with one hand and steady the mast with the other.

Easy Installation

Thule EasyFold XT

The Camber easily installs in your hitch with the included threaded hitch pin. Just slide the shank into your receiver, insert the hitch pin, and then tighten it down with the included tool. The pin also works as an anti-wobble device to eliminate sway and rattle in the receiver.

Hitch Compatibility

Thule Camber 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack Hitch Adapter

The rack includes a sleeve that slides over the 1-1/4" shank to convert the rack for use with 2" hitch receivers. The sleeve attaches to the shank with a single screw and can be installed or removed in seconds.

I love this bike rack. I had no problem attaching it to the hitch on my 2018 Honda CRV. The HitchSwitch levers make it easy to to bring down the bike rack to get to the cargo area. Strong and solid Thule bike rack.
Great service with James and etrailer.

by:

I bought this rack in case my riding friends and I had an accident and needed to haul all the bikes. The most bikes I put on the rack so far has been 3. It was a tight fit, but it worked (Road bikes). The rack did wobble some from side to side, so I purchased a stabilizer and now it is solid. Not sure why it did that. I made sure to tighten everything. When looking for a locking key, the only one that I found would work is the Thule lock. Kinda expensive. While I spent extra after market, the rack feels solid, and I am comfortable knowing my bike is not just going to fall off my vehicle.

by:

Great purchase. Was on back order which is understandable and delivered today. Took a total of 20 min to set up. Was able to fit all four bike including the kids. Great customer service. Purchased a Hitch from etrailer also. Thanks!!

by:

This has been a great product and a huge upgrade over our old trunk-mount bike rack.

It holds our bikes super steady even when we're driving over gravel or dirt roads. I never have had a problem getting the bikes on or off the rack, and although I have heard that some people have trouble with the fasteners, I've never had a problem with ours.

The only minor issue I have had is that the bolt attaching the rack to the trailer hitch gradually loosens slightly after extensive use with 3 or 4 bikes. Every ten trips or so I re-tighten it a little.

by:

Have really enjoyed being a customer of etrailer. Their [online] videos are key to give you DIY confidence Got this hitch and a rack earlier this week. Installed it today with my son. Took about 4 hours in the garage on the crv. All working well so far.

by:

Excellent customer service all the way around! parts come very quickly without any issues. The customer service team is very friendly and they have good knowledge of all the parts accessories.

by:

Easy to install trailer hitch, easy to install bike rack. Couldnt have asked for any better

by:

No problems with the rack at all but ended up going to a bottom supported setup to better support my bike in transit after a year of use with this rack.

by:

Bike rack performs well. We us it every weekend and leave on the car in winter. The only reason I did not rate with 5 stars is due to the fact that it is difficult to put the 4th bike on.
Works great for 3 bikes but is a challenge when adding the 4th. My understanding is that this is a common issue with any bike rack and I should have purchased a bike rack which can hold 5 bikes to easily fit 4 bikes.

by:

We use it regularly. Even at my age (73) I have little difficulty getting it on and off the hitch and attaching the bikes. The straps cannot be pulled too tight or they are a bear to get off by yourself.

by:

Makes my car look so sexy!

by:

I recently purchased this Thule bike rack. It was easy to figure out how to use and easy to load the bikes on. It does take a few minutes to load 4 bikes but the more times I do it the faster I get! The bikes are secure and do not bang together. A great buy!

by:

I love this bike rack. I installed it myself. It was very easy. Loading the bikes on the rack was simple too. I drive a Yukon XL. Because my SUV is already long was worried that I wouldn’t be able to close the garage door with the rack attached. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw I had enough room when I folded the rack down. However, I can’t have the rack in the raised position and close the garage door. But that’s ok because the bikes are so easy to remove from the rack.

by:

Product as described and fast shipping. Very easy purchase.

by:

Tule bike rack perfect as expected got here in a timely fashion considering shipping has been slow do to pandemic

by:

I should have come straight to etrailer for my purchase. I made the mistake of trying Another online retailer first. I waited 11 days and still no word on when the order would be filled. After getting nowhere with their customer service I cancelled the order and came to etrailer. Ordered on Sunday, delivered on Wednesday. Thank you for the top notch service!

by:

Love this bike rack. Have had it for one year and use it weekly in warmer months. It’s easy for one person to take it on and off and only takes a few minutes to load/unload bikes. Highly recommend!

by:

Would purchase other products from etrailer. No problems, everything was as advertised on their site.

by:

Very easy to install and to attach our bikes- two adult bikes and two children's 20 inch bikes. The bikes are very secure on the rack. There is minimal movement while driving. It is also easy enough for me to attach alone and I'm not that strong and I have a bum shoulder. This rack works perfectly with our 2019 Subaru Ascent.

by:

Excellent quality, Thule is pricey but you get what you pay for.

by:

Great product and relatively easy install. Excellent and fast service. Would definitely use etrailer again!

by:

It's started to rust after a year that stalled in my car. But all in all was working well with my 4 bikes.

by:

Super Strong and reliable! Holds 4 bikes without any issues

by:

Easy to use and load. Great Quality.

  • 2022 Chevy Tahoe Fitment with Thule Camber 4-Bike Rack
Excellent choice in the Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack # TH9056! I really like the simple design yet it still has nice touches like the levers for tilting and folding the mast and arms. When the Camber is installed the closest part of the rack sits 7" away from the center of the hitch pin hole. You should have plenty of room for this to fit on your 2022 Chevy Tahoe but we haven't have the chance to test fit on this newer vehicle yet so it doesn't hurt to double check. We did get the opportunity...

  • Can You Use a Class III Bike Rack in a Class I or Class II Hitch
It sounds like you have a Thule bike rack intended to be used for 2" hitches but only have a 1-1/4" receiver on your SUV's hitch. If you have a 1-1/4" receiver opening you only have a Class I or Class II hitch which is going to limit your options due to weight limits. For instance, a 2" Class III hitch receiver can handle a 2" Class III bike rack (or smaller). However, a 1-1/4" Class I hitch receiver can't hold anything larger than this, so you would not be able to use a Class III bike...

  • Does Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack Fit Class III 2 inch Trailer Hitches
The hitch specs of the Thule Camber # TH9056 are written in a way that could be confusing. So the line in the description is: Application: 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" (Class I and Class II) and 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers What this means though is that it fits both hitch Classes of 1-1/4 inch hitches as well as the 2 inch hitch size as well. This distinction is there because some accessories only can be used in the Class II 1-1/4 inch hitches. For more info on the rack check out the review...

  • Will a 4 Bike Rack Fit on Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75560 on a 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon
Yes. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75560, has the capacity for a 4 bike rack. You will have to consult your owners manual to check your vehicles towing capacities to see if it can handle the weight of 4 bikes plus the rack. We have many 4 bike racks that will fit this hitch. I recommend the Thule Camber 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack # TH9056. This is a folding rack that will fold out of the way to allow for access to the rear of the vehicle.

  • Why Are Trailer Hitches Rated for More Weight Than the 2008 Honda CR-V is Rated For
Great question, and I'm glad you're looking into your weight ratings! We typically recommend going with a larger 2" receiver like the Curt # 13555 whenever it's available simply because it gives you more options on what accessories are compatible with it (see example below). The hitch manufacturers test and give hitch weight ratings individually from the vehicles they fit for a few reasons but you are definitely limited by your least rated component which is typically the vehicle that...

The Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack # TH9056 is going to have longer arms than the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR.
