Features to know about

Effortless Loading for Heavy E-Bikes: Integrated 51" Ramp

Hauling heavy rides is easy with the Yakima OnRamp LX. The integrated ramp lets you roll up e-bikes instead of lifting them, so even 75- to 80-lb builds get on board without a strain. When you're done, the ramp stores behind the trays so there’s nothing extra to pack or lose—smart, clean, and always ready for the next ride.

Built for Bigger, Longer Bikes: 80 lb Per Bike, 54" Wheelbase, 5" Tires

The OnRamp LX was made to handle the new generation of e-bikes. It supports up to 80 lbs per bike, fits wheelbases up to 54", and accepts tires as wide as 5". That means everything from chunky fat-tire cruisers to long-wheelbase commuters sits solid on its steel trays. Adjustable trays slide side-to-side for the perfect spacing, no tools needed.

Secure and Steady on Every Road: Frame Mount with Anti-Rattle Design

Once the bikes are loaded, padded frame clamps and ratcheting wheel straps hold them tight without scuffing paint or fenders. The hitch connection uses an anti-rattle pin that locks out movement so the rack stays steady mile after mile. An SKS locking system secures both the rack and your bikes with the same key, keeping everything locked down when you step away.

Access Made Simple: Tilt-Down and Fold-Up Function

Need to reach your cargo area? The OnRamp LX tilts with bikes loaded, giving you room to get to your gear without unloading. When the ride’s over, a spring pin lets the rack fold up flat against the vehicle for compact storage. It’s a strong, easy-to-use setup that makes hauling two e-bikes feel simple every time.

Yakima OnRamp LX hitch bike rack mounted on vehicle, compatible with cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, RVs, and motorhomes, shown ready to carry two electric bikes

Durable Build for Years of Use: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

A solid steel frame with a black powder-coat finish resists rust and stands up to rough weather and long trips. At 53.5 lbs, the rack feels planted and balanced yet still manageable to mount or remove. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, it’s ready for everyday rides, weekend trips, and everything in between.

I'm very happy.

by:

Easy to install and load bikes. Very sturdy and smooth operation

by:

Set up was a breeze. Light weight and bikes fit perfectly.

by:

The rack was very simple to assemble and install on my 2023 Hyundi Palisade. The ramp makes it so much easier to load my Electra cruiser bike. I have ordered an electric bike from EBC, and I can't wait to try loading it. I will try to follow up when I get the new bike and use the rack some more.

by:

Very durable piece of equipment. Only had it for a few days but getting ready for a 2,000 mile road trip

by:

If scratching your brand new $1200 e-bike is what you have in mind, this is the bike rack for you. Tighten the knobs as tight as you can and you are guaranteed to still have movement or break the knob. Both are included for the price of one. And if you enjoy a 70 degree incline to push your bike up, then you have found the right rack because the ramp is super steep on your average fifth wheel (useless, just throw the ramp out into the scrap metal pile). I have successfully been able to take the paint off of every surface the rack mounts come in contact with. The rubber guards on the wheel/rim straps are next to impossible to adjust as you load. Super disappointed in this purchase. Yakima is known for good equipment, but be sure to wrap rags and foam anywhere you can.

by:

I did like almost everything about this rack. I was shopping for a rack that would hold two e-bike and was approved for use on a bumper pull travel trailer. First the sales representative at eTrailer was excellent in verifying the mounting on out trailer. The order process was quick and smooth with no issues. My order was shipped the same day that it was ordered. I was shocked at how fast the carrier was delivered, two days after it was ordered. To put the carrier together was basically one bolt. The weight was not a problem to get into the receiver on our trailer. The next was to mount the bikes to the carrier itself. The Ramp worked well with the 70 pound e-bike. Adjusting the was a bit of an issue. With how the hold down straps are mounted you have to adjust the sliding rails to fit the wheel base of your bike. When I had both of my e-bike mounted correctly the wheel only had about an inch and a half of the trie on the rail it self. I have Searched for rail extenders but have not been able to find any. Looking at my photos you will see that they need to be about 4 to 5 inches longer. Once strapped in they are secure at least while the trailer is not moving. I plan to make some extensions for poly carbonate.

Looks like it will work great!

The Yakima bike rack is fantastic. I enjoy the ramp to help load and unload the e-bikes. The Yakima brake and turn signal that I added help with traffic safety.

by:

I haven't had an opportunity to use my purchase as of yet, but working with etrailer merits the 5 star rating. I ordered my bike rack on Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving and it was delivered on Saturday. Fantastic turn around time. Couldn't ask for more than that.

by:

Very solid and sturdy. Assembly straight forward. On fist trip now.

by:

Mounted on Escalade, ramp is quite steep, tough for 80 pound bike and must be on level ground or ramp may not reach ground. Other than that the rack works well.

by:

I used all of etrailer's videos to help me decide on the best rack for my needs. This will work great for me because our bikes both have fenders and we will only be transporting the same two bikes. Plus it is strong enough for an RV and a cover which is important to us.

Product arrived promptly and in quality packaging. Assembly instructions were clear and concise. Put the Yakama rack together in about 20 minutes. I am very happy with the heavy duty construction of the rack. I have two Aventon Aventure 2 e-bikes that weigh over 70 lbs. The rack handles the load great.

Ordered the Yakima OnRamp LX to carry our 2 Electric bikes on the back of our Bronco Sport. It is a little complicated to get set up, (guys don't like to read directions - but that's what wives are for I guess) Once it was all put together though it worked great. Will be a good addition for our trips with the bike. Also wanted to give a big THANK YOU to the folks at Etrailer!! I had an assembly question and they were very helpful and answered it quickly. Looking forward to the ride.

@BrookeM We love to ride the old rail trails all over the southeast (so far) mainly in Virginia, West Virginian, Georgia and Florida. With the new e-biles and the Yakima XL ramp - we will be ready to go farther to check out new areas. Again our thanks - good price, quick delivery and a very responsive customer service.

Installation was easy and it secures the e-bikes very well.

by:

The Yakima OnRamp LX Electric Bike Rack - 2” Hitch - Frame Mount is a quality made rack.

by:

The ordering process, the delivery time and the product condition when it arrived were all wonderful. The assembly and installation of the bike rack ... and the accompanying light package ... wwas simple, well documented and successful. Overall ... an extremely satisfying experience.

by:

Great rack. Looks and work fantastic.

by:

It is very sturdy for holding our two E-bikes on our small motorhome. I like that the ramp breaks down and attaches to the rack vs having to store it. Also, the adjustment for the wheelbase, although it sometimes gets out of alignment.

I am glad this is working out for your and your ebikes! What kind of motorhome are you hauling the bikes behind??

by:

Due to the onboard ramp, this bike ramp is about the easiest way to load and carry our 2 ebikes. Ebikes are quite heavy. As a drawback and a plus for functionality, this rack is very heavy also. If older like us, it takes 2 people to install. Otherwise, great rack!

by:

This Yakima bike rack holds my 2 Lectric bikes very secure on the back of my 5th wheel trailer. The ramp makes loading the bikes a one man job. I would give it a 5 star if I was able to load my bikes in the opposing directions but by the way my bikes are secured with the seat post they both have to face the same direction & I had to remove one of my bike baskets & lower one of the bikes Handle bars. Over all a great rack & different bikes might not have these issues. Also the rack is somewhat heavy & I need to remove my batteries to keep the weight under the 5th wheel receiver weight limit.

by:

This is a great bike rack for 2 e-bike (70 lbs). Very easy to use the ramp to roll the bikes into position. The clamping system is very easy to use. Overall, very happy

by:

Installed rack on my GMC truck to test out, was able to load my two electric bikes by myself, with two people would be much easier. Rack is very well constructed, yet easy to install on hitch. Will be doing road test in January, mounting on 5th wheel and going from New Jersey to Florida.

by:

There is only one issue with the On ramp LX: Overuse of blue locktite at the manufacturing plant on the screws that attach the tray extensions. The knobs to tighten the adjustable trays CANNOT BE TIGHTENED! I had to use thick fender washers to get the required 3NM of tension on the knobs that tighten the adjustable trays because I could not screw the darn things past all the blue threadlock!

I am glad it has been working well besides the screws. I do appreciate the feedback and that is something I will definitely pass along. Besides that how are you enjoying the On Ramp?

  • What Bike Rack with a Ramp Should I Get For My 2024 Aventon Step Through E-Bike?
Hello Karla, Wow, that is a really nice e-bike! I do not blame you for wanting a ramp for your e-bike, just because you can lift your bike doesn't mean that you should. For your 2024 Aventon A-Level 2 step through Commuter E-bike I recommend the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # Y88DJ. What I really like about this rack is how the padded clamp is able to maneuver in all directions making it very easy to clamp onto the bike, it really is the reason...

I have a better option for you but you are correct the Draw-Tite item # 76209 will have the same clearance problems as the Curt item # C11465 hitch. Instead, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7350. This hitch is also confirmed to fit your 2018 Subaru Impreza. The reason the EcoHitch is a better option is that the main crosstube mounts behind the rear bumper cover instead of below it. This puts the bottom of the 2" receiver 11" above the ground. We also do not have a bike rack that has a ramp for a single bike. With that being said, we do have a 2-bike option that comes with a ramp. For that route, I recommend the Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR (for 1-1/4" hitches) or the # Y88DJ (for 2-inch hitches).
