Very sturdy, pin very hard to insert, my wife can’t insert it.
Except for problem with pin I would buy again. Very heavy not something to take off and on every time you ride, have to just leave it on the car all the time.

The Yakima OnRamp LX Electric Bike Rack - 2” Hitch - Frame Mount is a quality made rack.

by:

Ordered the Yakima OnRamp LX to carry our 2 Electric bikes on the back of our Bronco Sport. It is a little complicated to get set up, (guys don't like to read directions - but that's what wives are for I guess) Once it was all put together though it worked great. Will be a good addition for our trips with the bike. Also wanted to give a big THANK YOU to the folks at Etrailer!! I had an assembly question and they were very helpful and answered it quickly. Looking forward to the ride.

@BrookeM We love to ride the old rail trails all over the southeast (so far) mainly in Virginia, West Virginian, Georgia and Florida. With the new e-biles and the Yakima XL ramp - we will be ready to go farther to check out new areas. Again our thanks - good price, quick delivery and a very responsive customer service.

I used all of etrailer's videos to help me decide on the best rack for my needs. This will work great for me because our bikes both have fenders and we will only be transporting the same two bikes. Plus it is strong enough for an RV and a cover which is important to us.

Product arrived promptly and in quality packaging. Assembly instructions were clear and concise. Put the Yakama rack together in about 20 minutes. I am very happy with the heavy duty construction of the rack. I have two Aventon Aventure 2 e-bikes that weigh over 70 lbs. The rack handles the load great.

by:

I haven't had an opportunity to use my purchase as of yet, but working with etrailer merits the 5 star rating. I ordered my bike rack on Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving and it was delivered on Saturday. Fantastic turn around time. Couldn't ask for more than that.

by:

I did like almost everything about this rack. I was shopping for a rack that would hold two e-bike and was approved for use on a bumper pull travel trailer. First the sales representative at eTrailer was excellent in verifying the mounting on out trailer. The order process was quick and smooth with no issues. My order was shipped the same day that it was ordered. I was shocked at how fast the carrier was delivered, two days after it was ordered. To put the carrier together was basically one bolt. The weight was not a problem to get into the receiver on our trailer. The next was to mount the bikes to the carrier itself. The Ramp worked well with the 70 pound e-bike. Adjusting the was a bit of an issue. With how the hold down straps are mounted you have to adjust the sliding rails to fit the wheel base of your bike. When I had both of my e-bike mounted correctly the wheel only had about an inch and a half of the trie on the rail it self. I have Searched for rail extenders but have not been able to find any. Looking at my photos you will see that they need to be about 4 to 5 inches longer. Once strapped in they are secure at least while the trailer is not moving. I plan to make some extensions for poly carbonate.

by:

The rack was very simple to assemble and install on my 2023 Hyundi Palisade. The ramp makes it so much easier to load my Electra cruiser bike. I have ordered an electric bike from EBC, and I can't wait to try loading it. I will try to follow up when I get the new bike and use the rack some more.

by:

Most e bikes are up at 80lbs.
Yakima
has been in the game for a long time and this unit is built like a tank.
The unit is heavy, but it speaks for itself.
If you are traveling any distance this is the most stable unit I have owned.

  • What Bike Rack with a Ramp Should I Get For My 2024 Aventon Step Through E-Bike?
Hello Karla, Wow, that is a really nice e-bike! I do not blame you for wanting a ramp for your e-bike, just because you can lift your bike doesn't mean that you should. For your 2024 Aventon A-Level 2 step through Commuter E-bike I recommend the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # Y88DJ. What I really like about this rack is how the padded clamp is able to maneuver in all directions making it very easy to clamp onto the bike, it really is the reason...

  • Hitch and Bike Rack for 80 lb Bikes on 2018 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi Tom; I would be happy to help you get set up to carry your bikes. All you need is a hitch for your vehicle and of course the bike rack. For your 2018 Equinox I recommend the etrailer # e59ZR. This has a simple bolt-on installation you can do yourself if you're feeling up to it. The hitch comes with instructions but we also have an installation video you can follow which I attached below. The installation can also be performed by us if you live near Wentzville, MO or by one of our local...

  • Which Anit-Rattle Clamp Is Best For Electric Bike Rack?
Hey there Lisa, hope you're having a great day. So you actually brought up a really good question. The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2" Hitch Receivers # e38FV uses a gate that comes down and makes contact with the shank of the bike rack or ball mount, and this will not interfere with the hitch pin that is included in some bike racks, such as with the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches # Y88DJ. The etrailer clamp will be more effective in stabilizing the...

So we may have an issue if your 82lb e-bike weighs that with the battery removed. Our heaviest capacity racks are only capable of carrying bikes up to 80lbs. For your 2011 Toyota RAV4 I recommend the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack # Y88DJ with the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483. This way you will be able to swing the bikes out of the way should you need to access your rear storage area. The bike rack includes a ramp for easier loading and unloading, and is capable of carrying...

Hi Kalani; assuming I'm looking at the correct Aventon Aventure you need a bike rack capable of handling 77 lbs per bike. The closest option we have that includes everything you're looking for is the Thule Epos Bike Rack w/ LEDs for 2 Bikes # TH49XE. However, it has a max capacity of 140 lbs (75 lbs for 1 bike) so you're going to have to remove the batteries to carry the bikes. This bike rack comes with locks for the bike rack and bikes, along with LED tail lights you will plug into a...

  • Compatibility of Thule EasyFold XT and Thule Epos With Yakima BackSwing
Hi Rich; the Yakima BackSwing # Y02483 is not compatible with the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 or Epos # TH99XE. Both of these use an adapter to fit a 2" hitch and the BackSwing only works with a solid 2" shank. On the opposite side, Thule does not recommend using either of these bike racks with a swing away adapter. If you want to use the BackSwing I recommend using a different bike rack like the Yakima OnRamp LX # Y88DJ. This has a high capacity for e-bikes at 80 lbs per bike and has...

  • Is It Possible To Carry Elliptigo 11r Elliptical Bike With Yakima OnRamp LX Y88DJ
Hello Marc, thanks for reaching out. Looking at these Elliptigo 11r elliptical bikes, I do think you could carry one with the Yakima OnRamp LX # Y88DJ. The Elliptigo has a 54" wheelbase which is within parameters for the OnRamp. The clamp would attach to the handlebar upright. The thing is fitting the e-bike on the rack at the same time. • What Bike Rack do You Recommend for My 60-Pound E-Bike on My 2013 Ford Focus?
I have a great solution for you for a bike rack with a ramp. Unfortunately, Saris does not make a ramp for the Saris MTY Bike Rack SA4031. We also do not have a bike rack that has a ramp for a single bike. With that being said, we do have a 2-bike option that comes with a ramp. For that route, I recommend the Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR (for 1-1/4" hitches) or the # Y88DJ (for 2-inch hitches).
