Question:

Hello, I am trying to decide between the Swagman XTC4 and the Hollywood HR4000 platform bike racks. We have a ladies beach cruiser, a mens beach cruiser, a petite lady beach cruiser and a boys 24inch bike. We currently have a rack where the bikes hang and it is difficult to load and very hard on the bikes. Do you have a recommendation between the two racks? Priorities are easy loading and keeping bikes from anging into each other while transporting .Vehicle is a 2019 Lexus GX 460 if that makes a difference. It has a swing open barn style door so assuming we would not be able to open when rack is attached. Picture of 3 of the 4 bikes is attached. Thank you!

The Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Rack # S64665 and Hollywood Racks Destination 4-Bike Rack # HR4000 are two of the best values in regards to 4-bike racks, and when taking everything into consideration I highly recommend the Destination # HR4000.

There are a number of reasons for this, starting with the fact that the Destination is going to be easier to load your bikes on because of its large and curved wheel trays compared to the hoops of the XTC-4 that make you plop the bikes in just right. The Destination's adjustable frame holders are also going to grasp the frames of your beach cruisers much more securely and easily than the XTC4.

The Destination is also more than 15 lbs lighter than the XTC4 making it easier to load in the hitch on your 2019 Lexus GX 460. When it comes to value for a 4-bike rack, it really doesn't get much better than the Hollywood Racks Destination 4-Bike Rack # HR4000.

We have three road bikes and a fat tire electric bike. I’m looking for a four bike hitch rack that can accommodate all four bikes. I would remove the battery from the electric so the weight of the electric would be about 40-45 pounds. Any suggestions?

I think you'll really like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 Bike Platform Rack # HR1400Z. This can carry up to four 50 lb bikes and it uses a hook that secures the bikes by the frame so it will work even if your bike has fenders.

I would like to carry a recumbent E bike on the back of my 26 ft motor home with a class three receiver. It is a 2020 itasca navion on a MBZ chassis . Any suggestions?
