Padded, Ratcheting Hooks

ratcheting hooks

The Sport Rider SE mast has a pair of ratcheting hooks that hold your bikes securely by the top tube. And because they move independently, you can carry bikes of different shapes and sizes. The hooks have soft padding that won't scratch or scuff your bike's paint.

Adjustable Wheel Hoops

wheel hoops

The rack has wheel hoops that provide a stable base for mounting your bikes. Each hoop has a hand knob that lets you easily slide it along the tray to accommodate your bike's wheelbase.

Folding, Tilting Design

tiltingfolding

The rack tilts down with your bikes loaded. So, whether you're at the trail or the grocery store, you don't have to remove your bikes to access your cargo area. It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.

Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System

install with handle

The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Simply slide the shank into your receiver until the welded stop plate contacts the hitch. The stop plate saves you from getting on your hands and knees to align the pin holes while inserting the hitch pin. Once the pin is in place, attach the lock pod. Lastly, use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

install with handle

The ratcheting hooks have lock cores in the release buttons so you can secure your bikes to the rack. Simply slide the hooks over your bikes' top tubes until they click and lock them in place. There is also a keyed-alike locking hitch pin that secures the rack to your vehicle.

  • Can Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack Be Used for E-Bikes
The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR can support up to 35 lb bikes so since you're needing to carry E-Bikes you need the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack # HLY66ZR instead, which is rated for up to 70 lb bikes. I know the price difference between those racks is quite a jump so for a mid-tier option we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR, which can support up to 80 lb bikes and still secures bikes by the frame. I'm attaching...

  • Can the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Be Used with Step Through Bikes
We have a solution for you either way but the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR may or may not work with your particular step through bikes. There are different styles of step through bikes and depending on how low the step through is, the ratcheting arm on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR may go down low enough to secure the bike or it may be a little short. However, if the ratcheting arm does not go down low enough on your particular bike we do...

  • Recommended Bike Rack for Electric Step Thru Bikes
Hey Anthony thanks for stopping by! The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR will work fine with your step thru bikes, but you're also going to need an adapter bar # HRBA-PRO. If you're not sold on the Sport Rider SE, then I'd suggest going with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR. This rack is very similar to the SportRider SE but does not require the adapter bar for step thru bikes. Both racks can handle the exact same size bikes, so whichever you choose you'll be set! • Hollywood Racks Bike Rack for Two E-Bikes With Fat Tires for Rear of 5th Wheel Trailer
We actually have the exact bike rack you need, although the reason some bike racks, such as the # HLY84FR are not rated for use behind trailers, including fifth wheels or towed vehicles, is because the suspension on those is not as forgiving; there is additional movement, increasing stress on the bike rack and potentially damaging it. That said, there is a perfect bike rack for a pair of e-bikes with fat tires that IS rated for use behind a 5th wheel trailer, the Hollywood Racks RV Rider...

Hi Mark, So I scoured every bike rack option, and unfortunately one with the exact configuration doesn't exist, for a couple reasons. The issue is being rated for an RV, weight capacity for ebikes, and especially the fenders, as the Thule rack you mentioned is wheel-mounted so won't work with fenders. If you're okay going with a 2-bike rack, there isn't an option for one with a ramp, but there is one with an electric lift if your Winnebago has a 7-way, the Saris Door County Bike Rack for...

Hey Paul, There unfortunately isn't a bike rack that's going to meet all of your needs/wants at this weight capacity but I have a couple of options depending on a few factors: Option 1: Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR. This rack has an 80lb per bike capacity, locking ratcheting hooks to secure the bikes by the frame, wheel hoops capable of handling tires up to 5" wide, 60" maximum wheel base, tilt-away function, and comes with a locking anti-rattle hitch pin. It does...

  • Recommended Bicycle Cover for Carrying Electric Bike on Rear of Motorhome
I'm glad you like your Hollywood Racks # HLY84FR! Hollywood Racks does a fine job of building tough-as-nails bike racks. For your bike, I'd recommend using the Swagman # S24FR. However, the bag is designed for 2 bikes, so if you used it with one bike, you'd need to use bungees or something to take up some of the slack of the cover, otherwise it will be flapping around in the breeze which is not only annoying, but also causes wear and tear on the cover. The cover is designed to be used behind...

I have a few different bikes racks for you that will carry e-bikes with fenders. That said, you will need to go with a frame mount style as you can't use a wheel mount bike rack on a bike with fenders. The best option for you will be the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Rack part # HLY84FR which has an 80 lb per bike weight capacity and soft padded frame hooks so you don't have to worry about rubbing. You can see exactly what it does in the photo I've attached for you. This is a swinging, wheel mount bike rack that has a bike weight capacity of 60 lbs per bike and can accommodate tires up to 5" wide. If you want to verify that your bike will fit behind the spare tire on your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited then simply measure 9-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch. To change the end position of the anti-rattle lever you would need to remove the rack from your hitch and turn the lever to a new starting position. • Will the Thule Apex Work with 2 E-Bikes
Amy, it would depend on the bikes. If each of your e-bikes weighed less than 37.5 lbs, and didn't have any fat tires, then yes you could use the Thule Apex Swing XT Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # TH9027XT. But if you're just hauling two bikes, I wouldn't recommend a 4 bike rack. I'd recommend using a two bike rack like # HLY84FR which is designed to carry two e-bikes.

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR has a rise of 7" so expect to lift your e-bike about 31" to get it on the rack. If that is too much I recommend pulling the battery so it is easier to lift. Also, now that I see the full frame of your particular TotGuard you will likely need the # HRBA-PRO as well. • Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack for a Riese and Muller New Charge Bike
Are you wanting to carry your Riese and Muller New Charger on the roof or on a hitch mount bike rack? Generally speaking loading an electric bike on the roof is a daunting task considering the weight. I do strongly recommend a hitch mount rack but I need to know if your vehicle has a trailer hitch now or not. If it does, is the opening 1-1/4 inches wide or 2 inches wide? And if it doesn't have a hitch what is the year, make, and model of the vehicle?

  • Bike Rack to Clear Past Rear Spare of 2022 Ford Bronco
I would recommend the Hollywood Rack RV Rider part # HLY64FR. It has the weight capacity for e-bikes, has the most clearance to fit past a rear spare, has a frame clamp design that works really well with the typically unusual frame shapes of e-bikes, and has wide wheel hoops to accommodate fat tires. • Will the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Work With a Womens Step-Through Bike Frame
The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE part # HLY84FR will work with most step-through frame bikes. The best chance you have of this is to switch the short hook to the bottom and then the long hook to the top on the upright as that will then allow for the lowest connection point. It works with 20" diameter tires as long as you have the adapter # HLY24FR for each bike. This adapter does not come with the rack itself. If your bike doesn't have a front fender then you can use the BackSwing with a rack like the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU84FR or NV 2.0 Base # BA22B.
