Each mount on the Transfer V2 holds up to 40 lbs, giving you solid support for three bikes without overloading the rack. The platform design secures bikes by the wheels, not the frame, so carbon fiber and custom finishes stay untouched. It handles wheel diameters from 18" to 29", wheelbases up to 50", and tires up to 3.0" wide. The steel frame keeps everything steady, and the flatlock cam tightens in the hitch to cut down on play during travel.
Loading bikes is simple thanks to the U-shaped base. You can step inside the rack to lift bikes closer to their trays instead of leaning over the platform. It’s especially handy when loading the inner bike, and when folded up, the design keeps clear of backup cameras for better visibility.
No need to unload bikes to reach your gear. The spring-loaded foot lever tilts the rack down even when bikes are loaded, giving you quick access to the cargo area. When you’re done riding, use the same pedal to fold the rack up for a smaller footprint and easy storage.
Ratcheting hooks keep the front wheel tight without touching the frame, while pivoting rear wheel cradles adjust automatically to different bike lengths. The front cradles can shift position to prevent bikes from contacting each other or to better fit smaller frames. Strap extenders (sold separately) expand fit for fat tires, so you can carry different bikes without fuss.
The Transfer V2 protects both bikes and rack. A 1/4" braided steel cable lock secures your bikes to the carrier, and the included 8-mm security wrench tightens the flatlock cam so only you can remove it. The hitch pin and wedge system hold everything tight, giving peace of mind whether you’re parked or cruising down the highway.

Have now been using this rack pretty regularly for around a year and it has been extremely solid. I hesitated to buy such an expensive rack at first, but really no regrets. The Kuats quality has provided peace of mind when hauling two or even three bikes at a time. Its easy to use, easy to take on and off, and holds the bikes very securely. They barely even wobble, even when Im driving at highway speeds. Still highly recommend!

After a year, the Kuat 3-bike carrier is still reliable and easy to use. I really enjoy the way the rack keeps the bikes from swinging or touching, thus preventing any impact damage.

It’s not possible to be happier, and more pleased with the product than I am with my Kuat bike racks. This rack will give you great versatility. We are a family of mountain bikers and when the kids come to town, I can put two bikes in the rear of a small SUV and four bikes on the carrier and drive two or three hours to a family favorite trail, and never worry that the bikes aren’t secure. Loading and unloading are simple, quick and easy. I wish every product I bought performed as well as this one.
