Rotating Arms with Ratcheting Hooks

Kuat Transfer V2 ratcheting hooks

The Transfer V2 has ratcheting hooks that grab your bikes firmly by the front wheel - not the frame. It's perfect for carrying carbon bikes or bikes with a custom paint job. To load a bike, simply place your front wheel in the cradle, rotate the arm up and over the wheel, and press down firmly on the ratcheting hook.

Front-Wheel Cradles with Adjustable Pitch

Kuat Transfer V2 front wheel cradles

In its upright position the front cradles sit at the optimal position for holding normal-size bikes. However, you can adjust the cradles so that smaller bikes sit more toward the center of the rack or to prevent bikes from bumping into each other. To adjust the pitch, use the included Allen key to flip the bolt locator tabs upside down.

Pivoting Rear-Wheel Cradles

Kuat Transfer V2 rear wheel cradle

The rear wheel cradles accommodate a wide variety of bike wheelbases. They pivot front to back, adjusting automatically to each bike's wheelbase - no need for sliding and tightening. Secure the wheels in place with the built-in ratcheting strap. Strap extenders (sold separately) let you carry fat bikes.

U-Shape Frame

Kuat Transfer V2 U-shape base

Most platform-style racks force you to reach out and over the rack to load your bikes or walk around to the back of the rack to access the bike closest to your vehicle. The U-shaped frame allows you to walk inside the rack and get close to your bikes to lift them. Also, it won't block your backup camera when it's folded up.

Foot Lever for Easy Tilting and Folding

Kuat Transfer V2 foot lever

The spring-loaded foot lever is easily accessible even with your bikes loaded. No more crawling through your bikes or squeezing between the rack and the vehicle to hit the tilt release lever.

Kuat Transfer V2 tilting rackKuat Transfer V2 folding rack

The foot lever lets you tilt the rack down with bikes loaded for cargo area access. It leaves both hands free so that you can lower the rack in a controlled manner. When the rack is unloaded you can fold it up for storage.

Easy Installation

Kuat Transfer V2 complete security

The rack is easy to install. Just slide the shank into your hitch and use the included 8-mm Allen wrench to tighten the flatlock cam. An anti-rattle wedge is deployed inside the shank to help take play out of the hitch connection.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

Kuat Transfer V2 indentation

The Allen wrench has an indentation, so it can only be used with the Transfer. This helps keep the rack secure on your vehicle. You'll need to store it in a safe place because you'll need it when you want to remove the rack. You can also use a locking hitch pin (sold separately) for extra rack security.

Kuat Transfer V2 integrated cable lock

The Transfer also includes a cable lock that secures your bikes to the rack. The 1/4" thick, braided steel cable threads through your bike's frames, and locks back into the rack.

  • Recommended Hitch Mounted 3 Bike Platform Rack for 2018 Subaru Forester
For your 2018 Subaru Forester, the Curt hitch that meets your criteria and is a confirmed fit is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13144 and will work great for a 3 bike rack. For a 3 bike carrier, I recommend going with a platform rack because it supports the bikes by the wheels. The Saris 3 bike was discontinued, but the Kuat Transfer # KU24FR is a similar choice that will also make loading easy due to the design where you can walk in between the rack...

  • Can Kuat Transfer V2 3-Bike Rack Convert to 2-Bike Rack
Hi Howard; if this was originally the 2-bike # KU84FR all you need to do is remove the add on # KU57FR to convert it back. If it was originally the 3-bike version # KU24FR you will remove the cradle and hook arm but the arms they attach to will remain extended out as they are now. There are no special instructions or other info you should need to make the conversion.

  • Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Acura RDX
I can help, but since you have a Class I hitch you can only carry up to 2 bikes with that setup. What you would need is a Class III hitch installed on your 2017 Acura RDX. For that you would want to remove the dealer hitch and then install the Draw Tite part # 75784. With this hitch you could easily carry a 3 bike rack. I really like the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 3 Bikes, part # KU24FR. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be...

  • Trailer Hitch for 2018 Toyota Prius Prime With 2 Inch Receiver For Bike Rack
We do have one option for a trailer hitch that fits your 2018 Toyota Prius Prime that has a 2 inch receiver so you can use a 3-bike rack, which is from EcoHitch: - EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7369 This hitch fits your Prius Prime and is the only option with a 2 inch receiver; every other hitch is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and is only capable of carrying a 2-bike rack, so the EcoHitch is going to be perfect for your needs. • Is The Kuat Transfer 3 Bike Rack Or RockyMounts MonoRail 3 Bike Rack a Better Option?
I have a couple reasons Anthony, that I feel like makes the Kuat Transfer # KU24FR much nicer to use than the RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack # RKY10004-10005. With as deep as the 3 bike racks are I like on the Kuat you do not have the full length trays which allows you to get up to where the bike connects. This makes putting on and taking the bikes off so much easier especially when you have to load them all by yourself. And in my experience working with all the different companies Kuat's...

Hey Brian, we do still carry the Hollywood Sport Rider SE. We have the HR1450Z which is for 2" hitches, or the # HLY74FR which will fit 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. It appears both are currently available. I do see that you ordered the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU24FR which I must say is a great choice. I have been using a Kuat rack as my personal rack for about 4 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It is durable and has held up to the elements very well. • 2016 Buick Envision Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 3-Bike Rack
Hey Claudia, thanks for reaching out! Hitch mount bike racks are definitely the preferred route since you have a wider variety of options to choose from and the hitch can handle more weight than a trunk style can. The hitch I recommend for your 2016 Buick Envision is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13292 because it's the most reliable brand we have. The installation is fairly straightforward and we have it listed to take about 40 minutes to install for a novice so this is a great DIY...

I recommend you upgrade to the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # 75547 that will give you a much greater capacity as well as many more accessory options. For your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 with Curt Front Receiver # C31069, I recommend the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Tilting # KU24FR. When mounting to the front of a vehicle, you want to have the least obstructed view as well as make sure your headlights aren't obstructed. • Correct Trailer Hitch for Bike Rack on a 2016 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2016 Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98864. This is also the best trailer hitch you can use on your RAV4 for a bike rack because the receiver tube is not tucked too far back under the bumper which means the list of compatible bike carriers is much greater. If anything a non-supported load like a bike rack would be more stressful than the tongue weight of a trailer so you'd not be able to exceed the 150 lb tongue weight rating of your 2009 Honda CR-V with the weight of a bike rack. You'll need to look into a lighter weight bike rack so that you can stay under the capacities. The best option for that is the Kuat Transfer 3 part # KU24FR. • Trunk Rack or Hitch Rack for 3 Mountain Bikes on 2012 Mazda CX-9
As long as each of your mountain bikes weighs under 35 pounds, a trunk mounted rack is physically capable of safely supporting them for travel. With that being said it's not going to be a particularly enjoyable experience. • What Rack do You Recommend for Transporting 3 Bikes on a 2013 Honda CR-V?
I have a great solution for you. Since the tongue capacity of your 2013 Honda CR-V is 150 pounds, the only way for the Kuat Transfer 2 # KU24FR is if your friends' bikes weigh no more than 30 pounds for one and 29 pounds for the other (which is extremely light for adult bikes). Also, the Thule Helium Pro 3 # TH9043PRO and the Camber 4 # TH9056 will not work because those racks only have a maximum per-bike weight capacity of 37.5 pounds.
