by:

Exactly what we wanted. Worked perfect on our recent, extended trip to Alaska and back.

by:

I welded this up on my 2004 GMC converted school bus, it worked great with minimal bumper notching

by:

Works great!

by:

Heavy duty, wished it would put itself on my motorhome.

It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

by:

It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

by:

Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

Fast shipping

by:

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

by:

Well, I really respect the fact that they waited for one year before asking for a review, they offer a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 inch receiver the 2 1/2 inch receiver would obviously be a larger rectangle to accommodate a half an inch, the vertical uprights I received had holes pre-cut to accommodate a 2 1/2 inch receiver I ordered a 2 inch receiver, needless to say, there was an abundance of slop, half inch gaps, requiring a lot of fabrication on either side of the vertical uprights, knowing this now, going with the 2 1/2 receiver should have saved a ton of unnecessary fabrication time.

by:

Solid as stone!!

Great product. Fast delivery

  • Option For Heavy-Duty Hitch on Motorhome
Since there isn't a custom-fit option for your motorhome, the only possible option for a heavy-duty hitch would be a universal, weld-on type. There are three options from Curt for frames that measure up to 44 inches (from outside to outside), with the only difference being the drop they provide (the distance from the bottom of the frame to the top of the receiver - 3" Drop: Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch # 15901 - 9" Drop: Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch # C47CR - 18" Drop:...

I have a solution for you. I see a couple of options, you can go with the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 3" Drop # 15901. It is a weld-on hitch with a Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) of 15,000 pounds and a Tongue Weight (TW) of 1,500 pounds Or we have the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets # C47CR. This is a weld-on hitch with a GTW of 16,000 pounds and TW of 1,600 pounds. You will also need the brackets with this one. We have the 7" Weld-On Bracket...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 1999 Toyota Prado RHD
Hi Colin, Since there isn't a confirmed fitting custom-fit hitch for a 1999 Toyota Prado RHD the only option would be to install a weld-on adjustable-fit trailer hitch. We haven't had a Prado in to test it for a fit with a 4Runner trailer hitch unfortunately. • Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2020 E-450 Class C Motorhome
Since there are no custom fit receivers for your 2020 E-450 motorhome you will need to use a universal hitch. The Curt Class 5 Universal Hitch # C47CR fits frames up to 44" wide. This is a weld-on hitch so we recommend taking it to a certified welder for installation. The maximum gross trailer weight of 16,000 lbs and tongue weight of 1,600 lbs is as heavy duty as it gets. Keep in mind, you will be limited by the towing capacity of your motorhome.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For A Foreign Model 2020 Ford Ranger FX4
Hi Drew, The Curt # C97JR you were looking at is designed to fit select model Jeep Grand Cherokee L's and would not be a fit for your 2020 Ford Ranger. All of the custom-fit hitches we currently offer are designed for US models so you'd have to go with an adjustable-fit weld-on trailer hitch instead. These will come with a drop so you'll want to measure from the frame down to make sure the receiver tube will clear the bumper. Draw-Tite 7" Drop # 41990-07 16" Drop # 41990-16 Curt 3"...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Options For A 2005 Ford E-350 School Bus
Hi Jacob, The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14053 lists that it's a fit for cutaway chassis if the bolt holes are 38-5/8 inches from frame to frame. This would mean that the holes in your frame have to be spaced 38-5/8" from center to center in order for the hitch to work. With your vehicle be a school bus and the dimensions that you stated you'll likely have to go with a weld-on adjustable fit trailer hitch receiver. You'll want to measure the distance down from the frame to clear...

Hey Brian, That is correct, manufacturers do not offer a bolt-on trailer hitch receiver for 2011 Ford Expedition models. • Will The Draw-Tite Trailer Frame Hitch Receiver Fit A 1974 Chevy K5 Blazer With A Gas Tank Shield
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver 75129 should fit with any OEM parts but just to be used I went out to the warehouse and measured the hitch. From the back of the crossmember tube to the center of the first bolt hole is 1". The distance between the inside of both mounting ears is 30-1/4". This hitch should sit directly under your frame rails so you can use that 1" measurement to see if the tube will run into interference with your gas tank shield. If this doesn't work then...

For a shuttle bus like your 2011 Chevy Express, you'll need a universal hitch that will be welded onto your frame. • Parts Needed to Tow 1999 Jeep Cherokee With School Bus
We do have some hitch solutions for you, but they'll need to be welded in place in order to install them, as none of the universal fit hitches we offer can be bolted on. What you'll need to go with is a universal-fit hitch designed for a service body truck, and in order to choose the correct one, you'll need to measure the needed drop, which is the vertical distance between the underside of the frame member and the lowest point of the rear bumper.
