It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

Comments
The hitch looks good! The hitch itself is rated to tow up to 15,000 pounds however it is limited to the frame and or bumper capacity that the hitch is welded. So if the RV is only rated to tow 11,000 pounds then that is what you would want to go by.

Great product. Fast delivery

by:

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

by:

I called to ask what was the inside dimension of the big square and it was said to be 4 1/2" square, that wasn't even close, it was 3 5/8" square.
But I was lucky I needed 3 1/4 square. I'm modifying this to fit my fisher plow bracket so I have a front hitch to use around the yard. Nobody makes one. I own a machine shop so by getting this saves me a lot of work. So by receiving the wrong info I rating you less than EXCELLENT

Heavy duty hitch. Easily installed. However I am a welder fabricater with 30 years experience.

Easy installation and after one year of heavy use, still going strong!

What a great hitch for a great price. I attached this to the rear of my Freightliner FLD-120. What a beast! The perfect hitch! Thanks

by:

This is a very heavy duty hitch. Haven't gotten it mounted yet, but looks to be of good quality.

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

Review from a similar Class V Universal Weld-On Hitch in Heavy Duty Receiver Hitch

Well, I really respect the fact that they waited for one year before asking for a review, they offer a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 inch receiver the 2 1/2 inch receiver would obviously be a larger rectangle to accommodate a half an inch, the vertical uprights I received had holes pre-cut to accommodate a 2 1/2 inch receiver I ordered a 2 inch receiver, needless to say, there was an abundance of slop, half inch gaps, requiring a lot of fabrication on either side of the vertical uprights, knowing this now, going with the 2 1/2 receiver should have saved a ton of unnecessary fabrication time.

  • Recommendation for Transmission Cooler and Engine Oil Cooler for 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT
Installing a transmission cooler and an oil cooler on your 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan is an excellent idea if you are hauling or towing loads of any amount of weight. It will help keep the temperatures of the fluids down which will help prolong the life of the transmission and engine in your vehicle. It would not be too much for your vehicle. I would recommend the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler, part # D15902. With this part you will only need to find room to mount...

  • Trailer Hitch That Exits Through License Plate Area with a Roll Pan
I do have a trailer hitch receiver option for your 1970 Chevrolet C10 Pickup but none of our customer fit trailer hitch receivers we have for you will exit out of the rear licence plate area on your truck with a roll pan attached. I am also not aware of a customer fit option with the above criteria that is made for your truck. The only way to have the receiver tube opening stick out the rear license plate area through the roll pan on your truck would be to cut/weld the Curt Class V Universal...

  • Hitch With 800-1000 Pound Tongue Capacity for 1997 Ford E350 Class C Motorhome
As custom bolt on hitches are not made for Class-C motor homes you will need an adjustable one. A typical Class-3 hitch will have a top tongue weight capacity of around 600 pounds. A higher class hitch will have much more capacity. Since you prefer to have 800-1000 pounds of capacity I would use the Curt # 15902 Universal Hitch with brackets and an almost 11" drop. If that drop amount is too much, let me know and I will recommend a hitch with less of a drop. In any case, you will need...

  • Is Supplemental Transmission Cooler Really Needed for 2007 Grand Caravan SXT with Factory Cooler
Nearly all vehicles that benefit from a supplemental transmission cooler have a factory transmission cooler built into the radiator like what your 2007 Grand Caravan SXT has. Since the factory cooler is connected to the radiator that means the heat from the coolant flowing through the radiator is going to keep the factory transmission cooler warmer than ideal. In nearly every situation a supplemental transmission cooler will give the transmission of any vehicle a longer life since heat...
