Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

excellent, fast and friendly service, I couldn't ask for more!

by:

I used the cross tube to build my own custom hitch behind a hitch. This is a quality product and worked well for my custom build. Closest to my RV, in the main receiver, I carry my motorcycle. I used this to mount a bike rack behind the motorcycle carrier. For custom builds like this, the cross tube is a perfect product to build around. I mounted this to my support rails using grade 8 bolts, this way I can break it down easily and store it at camp or at home. The cross tube is quality steel and has good welds. Class V was more than I needed, but this was the best option for my project.

by:

Bought this hitch for a custom application. WAY OVERKILL for what I needed but better to over engineer it than under. This baby is capable of towing 16000 lbs with a tongue weight of 1600 lbs. I will never tow more than the 5000 lbs my coach is rated for but I needed it to extend out and be a bit lower than the standard hitch to carry my KLR 650 on a rack which comes in at about 525 lbs.

Great quality fast delivery and outstanding customer service!!!

I have been a long time customer. Always good products and service. Thanks!

This bar is stout! It will be the strongest part of your vehicle

by:

Company was great with helping me find the right hitch for our church bus. We have been very pleased with the quality of the hitch! We pull a 12' loaded trailer to south Texas each year and the hitch performs great. Thanks for all your help!

Hitch is still working well! We have had no problems with it and the quality has been great!

by:

Etrailer's part of this purchase was great. Shipped quickly and well packaged. The problem was with the manufacturer ... Draw-Tite. The hitch is great except for one thing ... the stickers look like a drunk slapped them on. It may sound trivial ... but I have spent countless hours building a custom expedition vehicle I am proud of. I now have to remove them because they look like crap.

Your expedition vehicle sounds awesome! There is one sticker on the hitch that lists the towing and tongue weight capacities. If possible, I recommend leaving that sticker attached for safety reasons.

by:

I cut and installed this hitch on my 2002 E450 with bolts and welded as well. Very pleased with it.

by:

Great product delivered on time.

by:

Product arrived as promised and worked exactly as described.

by:

The product was in stock, delivered in a timely manner, and exactly as advertised. E-Trailer even upgraded the delivery at no extra charge. The hitch has a Made in Mexico sticker. The welds look good; much better than welds on most Chinese import goods. Very pleased.

by:

Very good product easy installation and prompt shipping. I highly recommend.

by:

This weld-on receiver was the perfect choice for adding a receiver to our tandem dump truck. I couldn't be happier!

by:

Product is great, shipping was as expected with a winter storm impacting it. Product arrived hanging outside the box with one end filled with mud from being dropped by the delivery man. Typical for the shippers in this area but the packaging for this heavy of an item could have been better. This is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. Product deserves 5 stars, shipping probably 2.

by:

Great product. But even better Sevice from etrailer as usual. Always a great buying experience.

by:

Extremely strong and heavy duty hitch

by:

The product and shipment was just what
Etrailer
said it would be.

by:

Exactly what I wanted, heavy duty

by:

Solid hitch! Excellent customer service

  • Trailer Hitch for a 2005 Freightliner MT45
While we do not have a custom fit hitch for your Freightliner MT45 we do have several heavy duty weld-on hitches that could work for you. I have included a link to all of them for you. Based on your frame width you could use # 41990 which is 44 inches long. Then for brackets you could use 7 inch brackets # 4907 or 16 inch brackets # 4916. If the frame is an I-beam frame then the only option is # 13703. Weld-on hitches should only be installed by qualified professional welders. I have...

  • Hitch Recommendation for E-450 with Ambulance Body
Ambulances are really pretty hard to fit a hitch too since the ambulance bodies all vary quite a bit and none of our hitch manufacturers have decided to come up with a fit for them. I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a service body (ambulance) truck like yours are multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation For A 1995 Dodge Roadtrek
Hello Jonathan. We do offer a trailer hitch that fits the 1995 Dodge Roadtrek. I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75140 which will be a fit as long as your Dodge Roadtrek has the standard factory bumper and not the step bumper. This is a bolt-on hitch so no welding is required.

This hitch can be installed with either 16 inch brackets # 4916 or 7 inch brackets # 4907. I have a universal fit hitch setup that would have more capacity, but you will need to make sure that the RV has the additional capacity you would require as well. • Which Hitch Will Fit a 2004 E-350 Cab and Chassis with 14 Foot Box Truck Body
For a 2004 Ford E-350 Cab and Chassis the Draw-Tite # 41906 is a custom fit, but you will need to make sure that the bolt holes are 38-5/8 inches from frame to frame in order for it to fit your particular model. While this hitch is a custom fit for the E-350 cab and chassis, it's possible that your box truck body may not have that hole spacing on the frame so you will want to confirm this. • Receiver Mount for Trailer Needed To Operate a 12,000LB Winch
I have a recommendation for you as the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mount Storage Bracket # BDW20154 is only designed to hold a winch when not in use. It does not have the structure required to operate a winch. For a 12,000LB Winch # BDW10040 you will need a receiver like the Draw-tite # 41990 to have enough strength for the winch to operate at full load. This receiver would need to be tied into the trailer frame to secure it.
