Question:

I have a 2011 Itasca Suncruiser 35p on a ford f53 24k chassis. My current hitch rating is 5000 lbs. Is there an upgrade hitch form my rig? My toad is 5200 lbs.

Yes, there is and you are in luck because there is a custom fit option. The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C14082 will bolt directly to the frame of your 2011 Itasca Suncruiser 35P. This is a class IV hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 10,000 lbs towing capacity and a 1,000 lbs maximum tongue weight.

The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C14082 fits frames that are 34" wide. It also does require drilling as there are no predrilled holes for a hitch.

If your frame is wider than 34" you will need to go with a universal hitch. The Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch item # C47CR will be your best option. This hitch has a 12,000 lbs towing capacity and adjusts to fit frames up to 44" wide.
