The wiring harness was easy to install. Just unsnap the original harness, snap the new over the old and snap the original on that. 15 minutes.

Still working great!

I purchased a 5th wheel wiring harness and heat shrink butt connectors,
for my 2015 GMC Sierra. I installed a tail gate light bar and did not want to cut the factory wiring. With the harness I was able to plug into the factory trailing plug
and butt connect to the light bar, while still being able to use both the 7 blade and flat trailer connectors. It made for a easy and very clean connection. thank you to
Steve and the E trailer web site for helping make this a easy job.

Exactly what I needed and arrived as scheduled. This is going to make the hookup for my fifth-wheel electrical even more safe.

If you viewed the Dodge ram video you think this item is coming with more then it is. Read the fine print. This is just the wiring harness. It does not include the connector or self tapping screws. The connector in the bed of the truck is another $18. and you are on your own for the self tapping screws.

They need to take down the Dodge Ram video and make a new one showing what you do get with this wiring harness and what else you must buy to make it work.

Very misleading.

The product I purchased is of high quality and fit perfectly.

Etrailer has become my "go-to" for anything I need for towing my trailers.

by:

Part worked out great and is an exact match to my factory harness. My stock connector is identical and even says "pollack" on it. This made for a great upgrade and easy install.

by:

does not come with the trailer plug end, should have ordered the other kit with the plug end. otherwise excellent.

I bought a splice adapter to put a plug in my truck bed. Very easy to install and fit perfectly. Very good product at a great price.

  • Installation of Trailer Wire Harness Extension to Fit Aftermarket Bumper and Factory Connectors
It sounds like you already have the factory 7-way on your truck and just need a short extension. There is not a basic extension available without the 7-way, so I recommend the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connectors # 74682. This should give you the short extension needed for your aftermarket bumper. If you have a longer connection need, then I recommend the Pollak 5th wheel and goosenesk trailer connection # PK11932 which will...

  • Can I Remove the Blue Locking Keeper on the Pollak 7-Way
I have a solution but no there is no way to remove the blue locking ring in the Pollak 7-Way item # PK11932. I recommend cutting the red and brown wires behind the connector and splicing the correct ones together using 16-14 Gauge Butt Connectors item # 05731-5 then taping them up. There is no way to remove the blue locking keeper without damaging the entire connector. That keeper attaches to each pin individually.

  • Options for Adding a 7-Way Trailer Plug in the Bed of a 1995 Ford F-250HD for a Gooseneck Trailer
For your 1995 Ford F-250 HD, I recommend the 7-Way Connector 7 Foot Loop, # 20027. This harness plugs into your existing 7-Way. You can then route the cable how you want to the bed of the truck. I recommend drilling a hole in the side of the bed rail, routing the cable down through the bed rail to the bottom of the truck, and then mounting the end for your trailer in the bed where you drilled the hole. You can then route the other end under the truck and connect it to your existing 7-Way....

  • Will the Pollack 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness # PK11932 Work with a 2013 Ram 3500HD
Yes, the Pollack Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness, # PK11932, will work with your 2013 Ram 3500HD as long as you already have an in-bed 7-way trailer socket that accepts they standard US style round connector (see photo). If you do not have the socket, then I recommend getting part # PK11893-11932. This is the same harness, but it also includes the 7-way socket. These harnesses tee in to the back of the bumper mounted 7-way socket on your truck. I have attached an installation...

  • Left Turn & Stop Lights on Gooseneck Trailer Do Not Work After Installation of New Wiring Harness
The type of gooseneck and 5th wheel wiring harness you referenced, part # PK11932 from Pollak, plugs in at your bumper-mounted factory 7-way and provides duplicate wiring functions for the second 7-pole connector in the bed of your truck. This kind of harness takes the signals that are present (or not) at your factory 7-way and just routes them up to the bed. These harnesses typically use a plug-in connection that installs without the need to cut or splice wires. Round U.S. Car Connectors...

To put a 7-way connector in the bed of your 2005 Ford F-250, I'd recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long, # C56000. This will allow you to simply connect to your current 7-way plug at the rear of your truck without any splicing and will allow you access to use either connector at all times. • Wiring Lights in a Headache Rack to a 2009 Ford F-350
The cleanest way to install lights on your headache rack is to tap into the wiring harness under the truck instead of plugging something into the connector at the back on your 2009 Ford F-350.
