Will this application work on a 2009 GMC Sierra SLT HD 2500 Duramax with 6foot bed. Want to put 5th wheel extra plug in side of bed.

I would recommend you use a Curt Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness # C56000. This unit will plug right in line with the factory 7-way at the rear of your vehicle to provide you with a 7-way near your 5th wheel hitch, and will not require you to wire anything up like the Pollak 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Connector Wiring Harness # PK11932 would.
