Hey Glen,
There's a few different ways you can accomplish this. Which light kit do you have specifically? A lot of kits like this will typically have some sort of adapter tee that can tie into the factory wiring for a super quick installation. If your light kit doesn't have a tee harness then you can use part # PK11932 to tee into your factory wiring and then only use the wires from the 7-way end that are necessary for the 4-pole connector and splice them to the light bar's wire harness. The rest of the wires can be capped off with some electrical tape.
A more cost effective way to accomplish this would be to splice into the 7-way wiring behind the connector using some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-5 (16-14AWG) or # DW05745-5 (12-10AWG).
If your F-150 has LED lights you could also use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # C63NR, which plugs inline with the tail light wiring and has a power wire that you'll need to run up to the battery. This would give you a 4-pole connector that could easily be hidden and connected to the light bar for a nice clean look.

Hey Glen, how did things turn out with wiring your under-tailgate light bar on the F-150? Did the Curt T-Connector or the splice method give you the cleaner look you wanted? Your update could make it easier for others trying to hide their connections too.
