Best 2021 Ford F-150 Trailer Safety Chains

Just what I needed for 5th wheel and good quality

Towed a sailboat (6000 lbs) on trailer (~1500 lbs) from Missouri to Colorado with a 1/2 Ton chevy pickup. Did great, no sway, no issues whatsoever. Installation was straightforward and done in the boat yard with limited tools without any trouble at all. We didn't put the boat on the trailer and had no opportunity to adjust the weight distribution. No problems at all. I definitely can recommend this hitch setup.

Received just fine. Hooked it up to the truck hitch with some very minor filing on the Ford class v hitch where the holes were drilled. Now to give it a try pulling something. (2016 DRW Ford F-350 with Lance 975 Truck Camper)

Ordered safety chains for my boat trailer. No problems, easy order, came on time and were exactly as described. I will use etrailer again in the future.

The trailer hitch that I bought from etrailer for my CRV are fine, good quality and I had no problem installing it. The major problem is now that the hitch is mounted there is very little room between the end of the mounting bolt/nut for the hitch and the top of the muffler. The exhaust system is rubber mounted and normally vibrates away on those rubber mounts. With less clearance it now vibrates against the mounting bolt for the trailer hitch and rattles like a machine gun on acceleration etc, and every bump in the road. This is not good, I need a fix.

These chains fit my needs perfect for our Forest River Surveyor.

If you get the factory pucks for the gooseneck chains in your RAM truck, you'll find the clevis hooks on your trailer's factory chains might not be big enough for the wide "loops" on the pucks. The Fulton Safety Chain with 1/2" clevis hook absolutely fits the pucks. You're gonna love the heft in those chains too.l I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.

We purchased a new goose neck trailer for transporting our equipment. However the safety chain hooks did not have the throat opening large enough to fit over the factory mounts in the beds of our 2015 and 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 trucks. Lori B worked with us to help find the correct chains and hooks that would fit for the application. The chains were not in stock so delivery was delayed by about a week or so but upon arrival I opened the box and they will be perfect for what we need. Received my Goosebox yesterday installed today, it went well with online installation video. The instructions in the box were basic and didn't include connecting the Goosebox to the truck with how to pressurize the air, which would have been helpful. The packaging job wasn't very good, box was loosely packaged allowing hitch to move around inside the box. Luckily there was no damage. All and all, it went well, just would have been better with more details on operating the Goosebox hitch itself

Great quality chains, haven't hooded them up yet as its winter here in Ontario Canada but I'm sure they'll work great.

Love the latches on these chains to make sure even if I go over a peak, the chains aren't going to skip out of work and just lay around. They stay in place like they are supposed to. Luckily I've never had to test how much load they support, but they are rated for 5000 lbs and that's overkill for this trailer, so if they are called upon, they should hold steady.

I'm using these as a safety chain for a vehicle on a tow dolly. The vinyl coating will ensure they don't scratch the wheels of our Jeep. I did have an issue (not the fault of the product) with the size of the hooks--they are too small to hook to the ratchet bar on the dolly. I bought a couple 11,000 lb hook and bolted them to the dolly to solve the problem.

The chain, as measured from tip to tip of S hooks, is 46" long - not 48" as advertised. It's a minor discrepancy and will still work for me, but Curt should correct this with their supplier.
