What's up everybody. It's AJ, with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the buyers products, safety chain. So there's going to be a good replacement on your trailer. If you have one that's kind of rusty and seen better days, go ahead and swap it out with one that's more new and even has the guard on there. So you can easily just lock into place on your vehicle and get going.
Let's check it out. The chain itself is going to be 35 inches in length. And then when looking at the links, the link diameter is going to be three eights of an inch. And then the hook at the end is also going to be three eights of an inch. The chain is going to have a weight capacity of 10,000 pounds, and it also has the Zinc coating over it.
So while that's not exactly weatherproof, it is going to cut down on that rust and corrosion. It's going to be really easy to install. If you're replacing an old one, it might be a little rusty. So it might be a little difficult to do that, but otherwise it should be just fine. We have the shackle here where you use the existing one on the trailer and run it through the chain, replace the clevis here pin goes through.
So that's what we're going to ultimately do, but we want to attach it to the trailer to do that. So just put it up here, line those holes up, run that through then at our Cotter pin last, to secure it, sort of push it as far as I can with my thumb. And I'm gonna have to come back since this one is kind of rusty with a hammer and kind of put it in the rest of way this way I can come back with some pliers and kind of peel these back that way it's nice in there and secure. Overall. It's a great replacement for your safety chain, especially if yours have seen better days, and it's just nasty to work with your hands.
This is going to be a lot nicer for you and function way better than the ones that we're originally on here. And they're easy to replace too. I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. I hope this helped..

Super strong and nice coating.
Works as it should. Solid and just what I needed.
Amazing service, great products
Bought this to replace a lighter chain that broke when "someone" didn't latch the 16' trailer's hitch properly. I haven't tried out the breaking strength, but it's heavy duty and the hooks still fit through my hitch.
Meets my needs for my equipment trailer. Delivered when advertised by my local UPS driver.
UPS lost some of the order and MicheleB. in customer service immediately shipped replacements at no charge. Awesome!
Product was perfect, price was fair and delivery was quicker than expected. Better than taking the camper back to have it fixed by dealer for free.
Very substantial chains, probably overkill for my 7 x 14 aluminum cargo trailer. Snap hooks are equally robust.
As described. Etrailer provided a solid description which was key in planning my application.
Good quality and fast shipping.
