Hi, everyone. Aiden, here with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Titan Chain replacement safety chains for your trailers. Now, this is gonna be a quarter inch diameter chain link with a 7/16th S-hook on the end. The S-hook end will go to the safety chain loop on your hitch and the free link end will attach to your trailer. They do come in a quantity of one, so if you need both, be sure to pick up two and they do have a 5,000 pound weight capacity.
So just keep that in mind when you're thinking about what you're hauling and what you need for your trailer. You do have two different options for length. Titan Chain offers this in a 30 inch long chain and that includes the s-hook and a 24 inch long chain. So when you're looking at your vehicle set up just think about how long you need. These are a durable steel construction with a zinc coating.
Now that is going to help it resist some rust and corrosion over time. But with these being out in the elements over time it's just kind of in the nature of these chains to eventually pick up some rust so just keep an eye on them, replace them if you need to, and they should be all good. And that replacement process is super simple. So check out how we did it. First step of our installation is to replace the old chain, get it removed so we can put the new one in its place.
You can see this one has definitely seen better days, so we'll just take our impact and undo the nut holding that on. So now we can take our new chain, slide that over the end and I'm just gonna reuse our old hardware. Depending on the state that your hardware is in, you may wanna pick up new hardware because nothing comes with the chain. And then I can just go ahead and get that reattached. Once you've got that installed, if need be, you can repeat it on the other side like we did.
Or if you're just replacing the one, you can go ahead, hook it up to your vehicle and hit the road. And that'll do it for our look at the Titan Chain trailer safety chain. Thanks for watching..

Large-mouth hooks to hook to various styles vehicle attachments.
Holding up well, purchased two for a small utv trailer and two extra for extensions with other trailers holding up well to the salt too which is a big plus.
perfect replacement. Heavy duty, true to size as advertised, good price. It works!
Just what I needed.
Just what I was needing to replace my safety chains
Very fast shipping but more importantly it is a quality safety chain. This 30” chain has a large heavy duty S-hook. I replaced the rusty factory chains on a 17’ Casita TT.
Worked great to replace the corroded safety cables on my utility trailer
Used to connect utility trailer with extended trailer hitch.
Very surprised the hooks are what I'm looking for no disappointment here, these are great
