Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 2-1/4" Rise for a Balanced Tow

Getting the trailer height right makes all the difference when you’re trying to keep your setup level and steady on the road. This ball mount gives you a 2-1/4" rise, so your trailer lines up evenly with your hitch for smoother tracking and better load balance. It’s built to fit 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers and keeps things simple with a fixed rise position that’s ready to go.

Built for Real-World Loads: 7,500 lbs GTW Capacity

When you’re pulling heavier campers, boats, or utility trailers, strength is what matters most. This mount handles up to 7,500 lbs gross towing weight and 750 lbs tongue weight, giving you confidence that your connection can take the strain. The solid steel shank delivers dependable strength for those everyday hauls without flex or fuss.

No-Loose-Parts Design: Permanently Welded 2" Ball

There’s no need to worry about torque specs or loosening over time. The 2" diameter hitch ball is permanently welded to the platform, eliminating theft risk and keeping your towing setup solid and secure every trip. With one less moving part to maintain, you get a straightforward, ready-to-haul mount that just works.

Resists Rust and Road Grime: Durable Powder Coat and Chrome Finish

Towing gear takes a beating from rain, salt, and muck. This ball mount stands up to it with a black powder coat finish on the steel shank and a chrome-plated hitch ball for long-lasting rust resistance. It keeps its clean look after miles of use while protecting the metal underneath so it’s always ready when you are.

Ready Out of the Box: Pin and Clip Included

Everything you need to hook up comes in the package. The mount includes the pin and clip for securing it to your receiver—no extra parts to track down before towing. Slide it in, lock it down, and you’re set for a reliable pull season after season.

OPEN UP BOX TO FINE A WELL DONE TRAILER HITCH!
THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA TO WELD 2" BALL TO HITCH..COATING IS NICELY DONE...ALSO... I PUT IT BACK ON MY TRUCK ,FIT GREAT AND FINISH LOOKED GOOD ON THE BACK..
I'M GLAD AND GRATEFUL TOO RACHEL B. FOR ALL THE HELP AND SUGGESTION TO GET THIS PRODUCT

by:

I received my package at 11:00 AM today. By 1:45 I had the hitch bolted on and the wire harness installed and tested on my 2012 Jeep Patriot, which has some potential difficult issues to get around. I had watched the installation videos a few days ago and it helped this first time installer do it like a professional. Totally happy with both the hitch and wire harness.

by:

This fixed ball mount continues to perform well after one year's use, and is quiet when used with the Softride hitch lock. Nice snug fit.

by:

The ball mount works great! Super easy to use, and works securely when towing a trailer. The rise was the right height I needed for towing. I've heard good things about etrailer's customer service, but they weren't very helpful for me. Twice my order wasn't going to be ready by the estimated delivery date. But the product itself is solid.

by:

Works great.

by:

I bought a class 3 hitch for my Jeep Liberty. It went on with no problem due to the hitch and mounting hardware. I suggest that you follow the instructions and thoroughly clean the threads or you will have problems.

by:

This is the second time I have ordered a trailer hitch, wiring harness, and ball mount. Once again, the installation instructions, especially the videos, were excellent, and everything was a perfect fit for my vehicle. Thanks very much!

by:

Have a 2011 hyundai tucson limited, hitch was easy to install, just 4 bolts. Fits great, really sturdy and solid. I had a second pair of hands during install but definitely not necessary. Didnt even have to jack up the car or move the exhaust pipe. Definitely recommend cleaning the mounting holes beforehand with a toothbrush or wire brush and some cleaner (i used wd-40, it works just the same) and screwing in the bolts halfway beforehand to test fit before you're balancing a heavy hitch receiver trying to get the threads to catch. No complaints so far, haven't used it to tow yet. 2

by:

Ok, I have never towed a thing with my hitch. I purchases it because my, SUV, which came with the hitch receiver, kept getting backed into in parking lots. My etrailer hitch eliminated that problem.

by:

Great ball mount! Just rise I needed and the welded ball is a nice feature.

Perfectly. It is well made and I have confidence that it is strong enough for my heavy boat. Good job!

by:

Super solid hitch, easily installed on my Prius V. I bought this to interface with my tray style bike rack, but I can also tow a lightweight tent camper - a real bonus. I highly recommend this hitch.

by:

A very nice unit. It is all welded and looks to be very sturdy. It includes the pin and clip

by:

The pin and clip were missing. I have had to send two separate emails; only one response and I haven't heard anything back. Poor customer service.

I'm sorry you had that experience Jeremy, I'll get that pin and clip sent right out!

by:

As ordered out of the box, reasonable price and quick delivery.

by:

Exactly as advertised! Good quality bitch ball. I need a couple of inches lift. My car sits a little low, for towing a trailer. I plan on buying a light kayak trailer. I have a 2019 VW Tiguan. This one looks like it will work perfectly.

The hitch ball works great!

Nice solid (not hollow) and WELDED hitch. Have logged about 5,000 miles this year with no problems. I had many problems with bolted on balls, welded hitches are the way to go.

Weve only put a little over 2000 miles this year so far it has held up vary well. I dont grease the ball so it does show some scratching were, but not to any great extent. The best thing is it cant come loose like my other mount did. You cant tighten a screw on ball by ordinary means.

@DouglasS We're glad to hear it's working well for you!

by:

Turned out to be the perfect height for towing a trailer with a Kia EV6.

by:

Arrived today, one day ahead of schedule. Haven’t tested it yet, except for fitting it into the 2” receiver mounted on the SUV. No problem with mounting or pin. It should work as expected. If I note a problem, I’ll update my review.

by:

Delivered a day late everything else was good

by:

Used right away. No issues

by:

Quick shipping and received as expected. Perfect for the intended purpose.

Thank you

Great hitch no issues. Paint is still perfect and no rust Very satisfied

by:

Both items have worked well to raise my lite weight trailer to a level position for pulling.

by:

Hitch was exactly what I expected. I needed a higher ball hitch for my boat and this does the job.

  • Is it Better to Go with Higher or Lower Rise Ball Mount than Needed
You've got good instincts. I recommend going with a ball mount that has a 2 inch rise for the exact reason you mentioned, the truck will settle a bit with the tongue weight and any cargo weight. The ball mount we offer with a 2 inch rise is the Curt Class III Drawbar # C45270. This is considered an extra long ball mount, measuring 13 inches from the hitch pin hole to the ball hole. Another option is the Curt Ball Mount for 2 Inch Hitches - Angled Shank # C45230. This ball mount has...

From what I could find out, your 2018 Mercedes GLE 350 has a maximum towing capacity of 7,200 pounds. With that being said, the Curt # C13411 and the Draw-Tite # 76141 will not get all the way to your vehicle's max capacities, but will come very close. The 7,000 pound towing rating and the 700 pound tongue weight are accurate and will be what both of these hitches are rated up to. With your boat and trailer having a combined weight of 3,500 pounds, both of these will work perfectly. However,...

It provides a 1-7/8" ball and a 2" ball for different trailer couplers and fits 2" receivers. It is going to provide a 5-1/2" rise so it is going to provide the adjustability you are looking for. Then for wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118472 because it has the highest amp draw rating out of the available options. This means that if you end up towing a trailer with a fair amount of lights on it you won't overdraw this wiring harness. We have a very wide variety of ball mounts to choose from. Finding the correct one will depend on a few things though.
