How To Determine Which Ball Mount To Choose
Question:
I plan to purchase one of your hitches for a Thule bike trailer, but I was also wondering if you have the ball piece that fits inside of the hitch?

We have a very wide variety of ball mounts to choose from. Finding the correct one will depend on a few things though.
First you will need to know the distance from the ground to the top of the inside of the trailer hitch once installed.
Next, you will then need to measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler when on as even a surface as possible. The difference will tell you how much drop or rise you will need.
As an example, if the trailer hitch measures 12" and the trailer measured 14" and has a coupler for a 2" ball, the Curt Fusion Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45155 will be a great option. This has 2-1/4" of rise and a 2" ball already attached and even includes the pin and clip to keep it in the hitch, so it is very convenient.
