Question:
I have the opportunity to purchase the UK Thule easyfold xt for a very good price, can I use my American hitch to mount it? What adapters would I need? Any downside to this setup? Thanks

I have a possible solution for you. I went ahead and called my contact at Thule, and he gave me some European specs for the Thule EasyFold XT 933300. Since the European Thule EasyFold XT utilizes a hitch ball mount between 22mm-80mm, your best bet is the Curt Fusion Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 2" Ball - 2-1/4" Rise - 7,500 lbs # C45155. The Curt fusion ball mount will satisfy both the shank length requirement and the ball size requirement for mounting the 933300. If you need a hitch recommendation for the ball mount, I would be happy to assist you if you provide the year/make/model of vehicle.
With that being said, there are more requirements of the hitch that may require more trial and error. For example, there are specific requirements from the top of hitch ball to the point where the ball shank flattens horizontally. I went ahead and attached some of these specifications to this answer.
With these European specs, there is no way to confirm whether the 933300 will work with the American Curt Fusion Ball for sure. You may have to order a European hitch ball.
