Question:
Hi! Im looking at purchase AirFlow2 Malone roof rack. It looks like the 50inch is recommended for that vehicle however in the QandA Im seeing a lot of recommendations to increase to 58. I have a great solution for you. As far as the length of the Malone AirFlow2 roof rack, both the 50-inch version # MPG215 and the 58-inch version # MPG216 are recommended fits for you vehicle. With that being said, I recommend the 58-inch # MPG216 because you will ultimately have more room to mount accessories on your 2014 GMC Acadia.
Unfortunately, if you plan on transporting 2 kayaks and a paddle board at the same time, we do not currently have any accessories that will allow you to safely transport them all at once. This is due to the fact that the width of the kayak's hulls/carrier for the kayak will take up too much crossbar space to also accommodate the width of your paddleboard. Also, stacking them is not an option because it will cause imbalance of the crafts on your roof. With that being said, the best option for transporting the 2 kayaks and the paddle board at the same time is the Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer - 58" Crossbars # MAL53FR with 3 sets of the Malone Rack Pads for Crossbars - Surfboard or Kayak # MPG314. If you need straps, I recommend 3 sets of Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors # MPG307-12.
If you go with the Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer, you will need some trailer accessories in order to transport your 2 kayaks and paddle board. You will need 3 sets of Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors # MPG307-12, a Curt Fusion Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45155, and the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # C56245. As far as connecting the trailer to your 2014 GMC Acadia, you will also need the the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75528.
If you are not wanting to transport the 2 kayaks with the paddle board at the same time, I recommend the Malone FoldAway-5 Kayak, SUP, and Canoe Carrier with Tie Downs # MAL38FR. The Malone FoldAway-5 will be able to attach to the Malone AirFlow2 Crossbars. With the FoldAway-5, you will be able to transport your 2 kayaks together in the vertical position or your paddle board alone in the horizontal position.
