This heavy-duty hitch is designed to handle big fifth wheels with confidence. Rated for 25,000 lbs gross towing weight and 6,250 lbs vertical load, it provides a solid foundation for smooth, stable pulling. The sturdy steel construction is finished in a durable carbide powder coat that stands up to hard use. It’s a hitch that feels strong and stays solid mile after mile.
The interlocking two-jaw system wraps fully around the trailer’s king pin to create 360-degree contact. Compared to slide-bar models, this setup greatly cuts down on movement and noise while improving security. The result is a quieter, more controlled towing experience where the trailer tracks steady behind you instead of clunking or rattling over every bump.

A built-in three-point indicator takes the guesswork out of coupling. The color display clearly shows when the jaws are open, ready to couple, or locked for towing—so you can confirm your connection without climbing into the truck bed. The handle also self-resets after uncoupling, so the hitch is instantly ready when you back under again.

For short-bed setups or close maneuvers, the S25 slider provides 12 inches of fore/aft travel to prevent cab contact during slow turns. It latches automatically in both directions for easy operation and moves smoothly without binding. That extra clearance keeps things safe and lets you back into tight spots or make sharp turns without worry.
When it’s time to reclaim your bed space, the Curt A25’s head comes off fast with a single pin—no tools needed. Built-in zerk fittings make lubrication simple, and the included plastic lube plate ensures the king pin glides smoothly during hookup. Together they keep maintenance quick so you can focus on the next trip instead of fighting with gear.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT Universal Carbide Black Finish Fifth Wheel Base Rails. Now, these base rails will install in your truck bed. And they provide the necessary attachment points for your fifth wheel hitch installation. Now, when these rails are used with the CURT's Custom Mounting Brackets, which we sell separate on a website, these rails will cut in half the time it takes to install your fifth wheel trailer hitch.
We mentioned the finish on this. I'm gonna zoom in and sort of show it. It's a carbide black finish, sort of like a matte black finish, so it matches the finish if you use it on the CURT Q5 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch. Now, these rails are universal, so they will work with the following fifth wheel hitches. They work with the CURT brand, the Draw-Tite, the Hidden Hitch, the Reese, and even the Husky.
This part here will include the two base rails. Now, we mentioned the mounting brackets, the custom mounting brackets, the hardware, and an installation kit is all sold separately. The length on these rails, if we put a tape measure on them from one end to the other, right at 43 inches long. But that should do it for the review on the CURT Universal Carbide Black Finish Fifth Wheel Base Rails.

Tracking is showing that it has finally arrived. Can you please let me know if the tracking is correct or not? Sometimes, packages will deliver to the wrong address, so I also recommend you contacting your neighbors if you still have not received it to see if they got it in your place.
