Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this CURT OEM Fifth Wheel Hitch legs for the Ram towing prep package, has a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2013 and newer Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks that have the eight foot long bed and the factory installed underbed towing prep package. Now this custom base is specifically designed to attach to the receivers in the Ram's truck's factory installed underbed fifth wheel towing prep package, and it'll adapt the CURT 25,000 pound and 30,000 pound fifth wheel hitch heads to fit the Ram factory puck system. I did wanna just pop up an insert here to show you there's one of the hitch heads and that hitch head is designed to drop right inside here and then bolted into place. Now this does use a quarter turn anchoring system for quick installation removal.

In other words, you'll drop this into the factory pucks. And if we zoom in, I want to show you how that's on one corner, you'll do it on all four corners but basically it's a quarter turn system. So what you'll do is remove this clip so it releases the handle, and then you'll rotate that handle out 90 degrees. And you'll notice as you rotate that handle, the tab right down here rotates also. So once you rotate it open and do that on all four corners, now it's ready to be dropped into the factory system.

Once you drop the tabs into the factory pucks on the truck, just rotate that handle back so it goes over the pin, and then take the clip and clip it in there to secure it. And now it's all locked into place. And again, this is just on one corner, you'll do that on all four corners. Also, the anchors can be adjusted to eliminate movement between the legs and the underbed rails. Now these parts are cohered in a rust resistant liquid ACO.

They are protected by a durable, dark gray iridium finish, and they have a gross towing weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. Does come with a nice set of installation instructions, describes how it goes together and installs.
