Hitch has worked great. No issues
Strong and simple. Built great, works great. If you need a basic 5th wheel hitch you'd be hard pressed to find a better value.
Side note: The handle can't open fully with my bed boxes in place. I did contact Curt who said there was not a shorter handle option. Not Curt's fault. They suggested cutting the handle down to fit. I didn't want to damage the handle so instead I built myself a shorter handle out of some pipe fittings. I believe that's 3/4" pipe but don't quote me on that. the pipe ID was a little bigger than the Curt handle, so I used some pipe tape to create a couple bushings so it didn't rattle. Has worked like a charm.
I recently purchased a Curt E16 Fifth Wheel Hitch for my Ford F350. The directions were straight forward and the installation was very easy. I will be hauling an 11,000 pound Fifth Wheel Camper with this E16 Hitch. The hitch is well build and of very good quality.
Does not fit
I have only used it twice since last year , the first time everything was fine but the next time as I backed it up I heard a big clank , when I went out to examine it one of the tabs that hold the head on bend completely over . I then had to try to straighten it up which made it crack then had to drive home with a 40 foot fifth wheel for two and a half hours. So I feel that the quality could be better or perhaps I got a faulty one either way not thrilled
