I spoke with my contact at Curt regarding your E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16115. He stated that the legs/base on this model hitch are not compatible with the Curt A16 Replacement Head # C16520. In order to replace the head on your hitch, you will need to stick with the E16 # C16515.
Otherwise, you can simply replace the entire assembly with the Curt A16 # C16120. This will provide you with an upgraded 2-jaw system that will allow for a much better connection with the trailer, resulting in less rattle and noise. I have attached a short video demonstration on this hitch that you can also check out.
