As far as the difference between the Curt A16 Head # C16520 and the Curt E16 Head # C16515 for your 2022 Ram 2500, the E16 is more of a basic economical hitch. With the A16, that hitch comes with a dual-jaw that makes for better kingpin connection which will make for a quieter ride. In addition, the A16 comes with a 3-point, color-coded lock indicator system that gives you the status of the locking mechanism.
With all being said, I recommend the Curt A16 head because it will ultimately provide your tow with more stability. If you are curious about the base that fits these two heads, that is the Curt OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Legs for Ram Towing Prep Package # C16021.
