Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

6,000-lb Capacity. These hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your vehicle. They also provide a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability. Easy to install and use.The product came very fast. I already installed it the same day on my 2009 Dodge Ram pickup. It looks like it should do a fantastic job. I'll know better when I hitch up my travel trailer.
I was very impressed with the easy installation and
the performance of the product.
I can easily put a 1 yard of top soil in my Ram 1500
and my truck carry it level , no problem. No more snag
In the rear. I also find towing a trailer much better. No worries about blowing air bags, this product is maintenance free. Love it, it simple and it works great. Highly recommend
Work very well on my 2019 Ram 1500. Simple install. The heaviest hitch load I had on them was 500lbs. Never even went down enough to know it was there.
I bought these to prevent the "squat" of carrying a load in a Ram 1500.It took only 30 minutes to install. Now when carrying a load or towing a travel trailer the truck is a better position.
The only thing you will notice is the smoothness of the ride. It's not, it is stiff. I'd rather have the stiff than the nose pointing to the moon.
Before installing on Ram 1500 truck did sag in rear when loading a camper but after the install no more sag and made a big difference in stability. Really good product
Installation took less than an hour and I was able to seat them using a jack and a couple pieces of wood.
Haven’t towed our travel trailer yet to see the difference but akways get great prices and follow-up using etrailer
I'm glad I got these for my truck. I have had a couple of heavy loads, about 150 pounds over the truck limit and the rear was more stable instead of sagging like it did before the replacement of the Timber Rear Suspension Enhancement System. The instruction to remove and install were great! Very easy to do.
Have not used them yet, well tomorrow. I expected a little more clearence than the half inch from axel plate setting empty now, well see how they work with trailer loaded with skidster on it tomorrow!!!! EASY TO INSTALL.
My 2019 Ram Bighorn has rear springs instead of shocks which makes for a very comfy ride, but when I’m hauling the camper it sags more than i like and isn’t towing in the most efficient way. These eliminate the sag and make towing easier on the truck. Didn’t require anything to install as there was enough room to reach up and remove the factory ones and put these in. Less than 5 minutes.
2019 Ram 1500 crew cab - towing 26’ travel trailer lowered rear of truck too much despite using a quality equalizer hitch. Resulted in poor handling as reported by many others.
Timbrens installed easily and carry the load well. Note- you will need to reset your equalizer hitch from scratch with Timbren’s installed.
Unloaded the truck retains very good ride quality.
For me they were the right choice. I have used airbags in other trucks in the past and would say they can be fine tuned to best optimize ride and handling over a wide variety of conditions. I chose not to go that route because of the complexity of installation on this particular truck. I’ m very satisfied how the Timbens work for me
Kimberly R was extremely helpful in guiding me to a better product solution, authorizing a return and expediting the delivery of the new order so I could install the product this weekend...during July 4th holiday week. Can't vouch for the Timbren springs yet but the customer service experience with Kimberly R was 5-stars.
Definitely firmed up the rear of my Ram 1500 truck so that I could occasionally tow a tri-axle trailer with a 31 foot boat. The rear end hardly sags when I drop the trailer on it. The drawback is is makes the ride stiffer when not towing. You can defiantly feel a harsher ride on the highway. They say the bumpers don't engage when not weighed down but that's not entirely true. But, they did the job for me!
easy install for sure, just remember to take safety precautions.
thank you Adam for your supplying the rite application.
respectfully pat
Easy installation. The true test will be next week when I will be towing my camper.
Wow!!! So simple to install. I didn't have a lift, so used a floor jack under the hitch base to lift the bed up. The factory ones came out nice and easy. The new ones went on nice and easy too. I used a little bit of silicon grease, and they popped right in. I have about a 1-2 inch clearance with no loaf. Towing my rv trailer should be much smoother now.
These made a world of difference and were super simple to install. Even my wife said she felt a noticeable difference driving down the road. It felt stiffer, less push and pull and much more stable. For example, when driving down the road and hitting a dip there was less bounce and the truck seemed to rebound quicker and more solid.
We drive a 2015 Ram 1500 and tow a 28' Jayco RV travel trailer. We do have sway bars and brake control installed as well. The tow capacity is approximately 7200 pounds and the trailer is approximately 6500 to put it into perspective. The old jounce springs compared to the new are like comparing a 12oz can to a 22oz can, they are literally twice the size and feel as stiff as a lacrosse ball where the old ones felt as stiff as a tennis ball. When the jounce springs were installed the truck only drops 2" instead of 3.5" in the rear.
We are so thrilled with these installed, it gives us a heightened sense of security when towing now, the tow vehicle feels safer too. Worth every penny, strongly recommend.
Always first class service from Etrailer this item arrived earlier than expected thanks
What a great difference these made in how our trailer tows. I was looking at air bags, air adjustable shocks, and other ways to beef up the suspension on our truck when we are towing. It took me about a half hour to install them and it's like driving a different truck now with a load. No air or air lines to worry about. With the trailer connected (4850 pounds unloaded) it does not float and the sway is almost non- existent now. When the truck is empty I can tell they are there when I go over a good size bump, it is stiffer than it used to be, but it is't a problem as far as I'm concerned. Excellent product, easy to install, and a low cost, simple solution to our towing problems.
WoW Very Nice! So Much Better than the original truck stops. Now when I get a full load of dirt or gravel my truck does not come down more than 3". I should have purchased these before, but glad I now did. Saves my springs and suspension.
These are great. The install was just as easy as stated. Two points to keep in mind. Use the soapy water trick and the 2x4 pieces. I was able to install in less than 15 minutes. I connected my 34' travel trailer and there was only about 1 inch of squish versus the 6 inches with the old ones. I am looking forward to our next camping trip. I am towing with a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic (Warlock). Thank you for a great product.
I first started by jacking up the bed about 4" then I got under it yanked out the small factory ones, so easy. Then put some silicone on the new ones, wiggled them in place and just to make sure they were seated properly I added couple pieces of wood under them and let the jack down. Took it for a test drive over a really bad bumpier road and to my amazment I was completely satisfied .got back home and looked under it and their about a 1/2" of clearance . Still after the test drive I'm satisfied doing this prep job before I pick up my new 5th wheel . Thanks
Super easy to install on my 2015 Dodge Ram 1500. Followed the directions and watched a YouTube video and they were installed super easy. Product does exactly as it says, took out a small sag in my truck when i had my 5th Wheel loaded. The new ride with a load is excellent and without a load its the same as stock. Great Product!
Very promp on order, give updates on receiving order. Appreciated the bussiness from me as a customer.
Thank you,
Hugh
Installed easy in about 15 minutes. Popped the stock bump cushions out by hand and followed the installation instructions. Going to be on the road with my trailer soon and am looking forward to the additional support for my suspension.
Amazing solution that leveled out my truck when towing my tailor. Super easy to install and nothing to adjust.
