Do I also need the adapter 16505 to convert my existing curt E 16 head for the ford prep system? curt 16017 for ford prep package

Good news! I can help you figure out whether or not you will need the Curt Roller Adapter # C16505 to complete your conversion for the Ford Prep Package.
If you purchased the E16 Head # C16515, the unit will already come with the bracket # C16505. If your E16 head is from an old 5th wheel kit and you do not have this bracket then yes, will need it to get the head to mount properly to the legs for the Ford Prep Package. I have linked an image of this adapter bracket on the complete Curt E16 5th Wheel Kit # C16515-16017.
If you happen to be piecing this together from an old Curt system, the Ford Prep 5th Wheel legs # C16017 will bolt onto the adapter # C16505 that will hold onto the E16 head with a pin and clip.
Another option to consider would be to use your original Curt 5th Wheel setup with the Reese underbed adapter # RP30156. This will adapt your underbed base rails to work with any fifth-wheel trailer hitch that is rated at 15,000 lbs, 16,000 lbs or 20,000 lbs and attaches to standard, above-bed base rails.
I have linked all the above listed items to this page for your convenience.
