Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this B&W replacement base for your companion fifth wheel trailer hitch. Now this companion replacement base is going to fit the B&W companion fifth wheel trailer hitch identified by that model number that you see there on your screen. Of course, this is going to install in your industry standard rails that are currently in the bed of your truck. As you can see, this does have a gross towing weight of 20,000 pounds and a vertical load limit of five thousand pounds. And as you know, this does feature these durable polyurethane bushings that are gonna give you a smoother, more comfortable towing experience.
These bushings are going to sit on top of these pivot arms, as you see here. And because the head is going to be resting on this padded area, that head is gonna be able to pivot without clanking; and the ability of that head to pivot both front and back and side to side along with your trailer, is gonna also help limit chucking that may occur with a more static hitch. Now this can be adjusted front to back as well as up and down, giving you that optimal positioning and you probably already know this, but as a result, this hitch can accommodate the height of your trailer and also help give you the the cab clearance that you're looking for to execute turns while towing. So as you probably know, that diagram that you see there on your screen, that's gonna give you a side profile of this base demonstrating how you can achieve the front to back adjustment that works best for you, along with the height setting. You'll get four height settings to fit your particular application and the hitch height's gonna be from sixteen inches to 19 inches, and that range is gonna help you get that level trailering experience that you're looking for.
So lemme give you a a closeup view here. Showing you, again, this is going to connect to your industry standard rails with the included pins and clips. And of course we have pins and clips on the other side as well. This is made here in the USA of gray powder coated steel, so obviously it's gonna be corrosion resistant; it's gonna be very durable, very strong. And if you're, again, picking this up as a replacement, it's gonna work just like that original one that you're needing to replace.
Instructions are included, but I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Very happy
